So you’re saying the *end of October* date was just some arbitary date they pulled out of their ass?

I imagine them thinking if a particular date was given then people are more likely to donate immediately rather than leaving it until ‘after Christmas’.

Somebody I know who works for the MoD told me yesterday there is still a lot of talk of getting F/A-18s from the US but in a short term lease agreement with part of the cost being all our Harriers and spares.

Or use the F35, and have Woopie Goldberg play the “babe”.

    Nic

What about AV-8B Harriers? Think of all of the stunts they could use for extra cinematic appeal, VIFFing, hovering inverted (obviously the TG Harriers will have this capability), flying backwards at mach 1 etc. And as for a babe, Katy Perry should be back from her honeymoon pretty soon.

I’ve just (re)started reading Brasso, Blanco And Bull by Tony Thorne. I read it about 18 months ago but saw it on shelf and thought I’d give it another go as I enjoyed it first time and need cheering up as the cold winter nights draw in!

If the Argies did invade FI and aircraft based in Argentina were causing problems for our troops would it ever be considered to actually destroy these aircraft on the ground in Argentina?

I’ve just seen Police Academy 4 (honestly, nothing else on TV better) and saw a single biplane (possibly a Stearman?) 3 times painted up to represent the Fokker Triplane The Red Baron, a blue and yellow scheme with US Air Force stars on wings and a Red scheme with RAF roundels and number 79 on fusalage.

It will be interesting to know just how different the B52 will be to the then front line aircraft in 2052! 😮

    Additional engine lubrication

After reading about the potential problems with using Shell Fuelsave petrol (and I presume diesel) caused by the additional lubricating agents added to it what effect does using Redex have on car engines?

Can anybody see the B52 being the first aircraft in history to be in active service for 100 years?

Does the James Bond Boing 747 at Dunsfold and seen regularly in Top Gear and the other aircraft (camo DC-3 being one) count?

They were Se5/Stampes, and the footage quite possibly out-takes from Aces High, as the airframes had lost their ‘make-up’ long before Blackadder was produced.

    Cheers.

I’ve seen several Se5/Stampes in Blackadder Goes Forth, Private Plane.
