Your answer raise another question : is it still possible to navalize an aircraft in our days? I mean, the Typhoon for example… ?
If Rafale can make it for france (carrier and land based) why not the F-15? That save a lot of money…

Italieri also made a F19 model, quite different apparently (I made one some years ago and converted it into a X-prize suborbital space plane 🙂 )
Thank you Deino… this airplane looks like a delta canard F-16…

the dude says to yoy “tu n’est qu’un connard” (a bhasthard if you prefer)
I have something for you! An artcile on the french magazine “le fana de l’aviation from 2003. There’s is the A9 but also the proposal made, including Lockheed (a kind of U2 derivative!). I can make you some scans of the article if you are interested.
But I have to wait one week, to use the scanner of the university (no scanner on my house!)
I never understood why Dassault proposed a Mirage IIIK with a spey engine to the RAF. Was it against the Phantom, in 1969?
Imagine the british made a fighter similar to the Mirage III or F1 but with one or two spey engines, the radar and missiles of the Lightning… a very good aircraft (maybe a world beater) was missed…
thank you phantom II!!
Anothers questions about the Martin RB-57F. I heard it could reach 28500m (95000feet). Is it possible ?
Was this plane a rival of the U2? Or had they different roles ?
Imagine IRIAF Tomcats bombing the White House…
