Shorsh apparently there’s some problems with the F18E/F. I really want to know more about that so if there was a thread about that in Key Publishing could you give the link ? thank you
That’s a very, very, very very good question! And sorry I had no answer to it… That’s why I back this thread!
It’s sad seeing such beautiful planes like Tornadoes being dismantled… particularly the GR1. No foreign customers for them? (I thought about australia to replace its old rusty F-111s). I know the F2 and F3 were not very good but the GR1 was a good attack platform…
Yes! “Ma liberté s’arrete la ou commence celle des autres”
“My own freedom stop where the freedom of others people start”
Alas many people just retain the beginning of the phrase, not the end… :p
Merci. Proud to be an internet idiot… 😮 :p
I made this thread starting from SOC’s “Don’t read that. You won’t like it”.
I understood (after carefully reading it four times) what he wanted to say, but thought it was a bit too complicated and ironic for those who don’t speak english currently.
J Boyle you’re right. A Ferrari is a fantastic car, but just try to carry 20 tons of vegetables with it :p So who is the better ? A Ferrari or a heavy truck ?
If I remember well Russians had put a reward looking radar on their Su-27 no? something like the N-012…
Yes its better not using the afterburner to VTOL. Otherwise everything will fly around your plane, herb, rocks, concrete, tarmac, burned rabbits … :p
Ok return to the Rafale (forgoet the 4000 and, surtout, Sarko :p)
Oh yeah! I have this particular magazine lol!! It was very well documented and perfectly realistic (in the details, for example changing the Cargo into a Bomber with rotative launchers…) I love it!!
What I like the best about this forum is that I can discuss more or less objective information and details regarding specific aircraft, weapons, systems, operations, tactics etc., not narrow-minded “this versus that-” comparisons which tend to evolve into highly subjective arguments, flame wars, pissing contests and “nah-ah, my dad is stronger than yours-” crap.
Very good. Viper, could you explain that to Flogger please? I think this could be a good thing for this forum…
Well sometimes we are fed up talking english… and Key publishing censored only british crude word, not french spanish or other. So… :p
peace and love, mec ! 🙂
Bon C-seven a ce que je vois tu est de droite eh ben tres bien c’est ton droit le plus strict… mais arretons de polluer ce forum avec de la politique sinon ca va gueuler (et je ne dit pas ca pour avoir le dernier mot :p )
I agree the 4000 was lighter than the F-15 because of its delta wing.
Normal take off weight for the 4000 was 17.5 tons, versus 20.5 tons for the F-15.
M53-P2 have 9700kgp with reheat, versus 10800 for the F-100.
wing area of the 4000 was big, 73m2 Vs 56m2 for the F-15.
So, wing loading of the 4000 was very low (260kg/m2) Vs 360 for the F-15, giving the 4000 more agility.
And, last but not least, the 4000 had fly-by-wire because it date back from 1979.
I recently ask on Key publishing if the F-15A/B/C/D had fly-by-wire; apparently (not very sure) the answer is no…
