Hi Paul, Glad you made it to the show, agree some very spirited flying indeed. Lightning, Buccaneers and Hunters always the main draw cards wherever they fly, even when there is other great flying involved.
I agree about the crowed line being so wet, wasn’t pleasant.

Thanks Jezza, I have so many photographs of the Lightning, buccaneer and hunter of Thundercity I would like to share with you all. Just got to work out where to post them in the forum.

Thanks Dodger, have been to Thunder City and have been privileged enough to photograph XP 693 on her first flight in South Africa after a complete rebuild.

I walked away this shot as one of of my all time favorites on the day.

Yes, we have our dark rainy days as well, 2 days before the show we had heavy rains, but it cleared, and most of this last week since the show we have had nothing but rain.
I have been browsing the forum and would love to photograph some of the aircraft you blokes have got there. I will get there one day:)

We were also treated to a sonic boom buy ZU-BEW (XR773) flown buy Mike Beachyhead owner of Thunder City. Lot of complaints from people who were not at the show.. I suppose we cannot win them all as they canceled the sonic boom on the Sundays event.

Thanks all for great comments. We are very fortunate down here in the Cape to have 4 lightnings and I think 3 Buccaneers, also have a few Hunters and a Strikemaster all in pristine flying condition. They are mostly owned and maintained by Thunder City.

Here are some more of great aircraft still flying down here in the Cape from the weekends show.
