Ive seen a lot of posts about the poor weather contiuity, but the film follows 3 timelimes, 1 hour, 1 day and 1 week. The film is not a continuous timeline and flits between the different stories and days during the evacuation, back and forth, hence the changing weather. The director explained this on radio 4 last week so i knew to expect it, but can appreciate it can look odd. Watch it a few times and it will make sence.

Maybe a daft question but is this the same Tempest V which has been sat with PPS at Booker?

Am i reading those accounts right that around 1/4 of the donations received were spent on Salaries! Fair enough run the whole project as a business and pay what you want in salaries. But when that business model relies so heavily on public donations it does not sit right with me at all, especially when the donation drives are centered around keeping XH558 Flying where in reality it also goes to funding what I would deem excessive salaries.

XH558 is having two visits on October 4th, one to

Gaydon – Heritage Motor Centre (Warwickshire)

    and another to

    Old Warden (Bedfordshire)

(NB the last two showings listed – http://www.vulcantothesky.org/appearances.html )

both on the same day. So perhaps PA474 could travel SW and join up? It would be something special for the year.

The 4th is the LLA day so were were kind of hoping XH558 might be detouring over us on her way back rather than the other way around.

Fantastic day at Goodwood, I still can’t believe how many people were there.

Congrats to all owners/operators/pilots for putting this together. Only downside was they were not all together for just one pass.

Does anyone have any info of which aircraft were in which flight?

If I presume right that the S-76 belongs to the well known owner of a digger company, may we be seeing a change of ownership of a Spifire soon?

    Just reading between the lines…

Really enjoyable evening, fireworks were the best I’ve ever seen.

Probably a dumb question but what are the engineers doing when they climb into the wheel bays just prior to start up?
