Nice wide angle HUD,has it already been incorporated with the LSPs?

What makes this HUD wide angle? From what I could make out, its FOV is 25 deg while that of the EF2K is 35 deg.

That’s a really good vid. I noticed the aerospike being deployed a few seconds after breaching.

The CG does in fact look really good. But I can’t help but nit pick. On the plan (top down) view, the missile placement does not look symetrical.

there is a rumor that some designers are currently working on intakes of Tejas and will see changes from Block-2, better and bigger intakes for more powerful engines ,i donot know much about it ,will post if any reliable source is found

If the Blk IIs will have the M88 derived engines, maybe the intakes will be inspired by the Rafale?

Going on memory here, but best I recall, the navigation pod has a terrain following radar (and a fixed IR window) that allows the Strike Eagle to perform the low altitude penetration role formerly performed by the F-111. The nav pod does not have any targeting capability.

Oh ok, that is now clearer. I must have misread fightingirish. That’s a pretty inventive way of getting the most out of the F-15E’s multirole capabilities.

Could having two designator pods give the Eagle to target two locations simultaneously?

    Source for the dimensions?

Eyeball. Mostly speculation based on the size of the booster.

This new missile seems to be similar in dims to Brahmos, which would have implications on IN ship capability. Also, a land based TEL might be able to carry multiple missiles (like the Brahmos TEL) versus carrying only one Agni I or Prithvi per TEL.

Yeap they are limited to 20 and 30 tons but considering its designed to carry between 24 to 30 Rotary/fixed wing platforms it should be able to support that.

The limited number of aircraft being carried is exactly why a high sortie rate is needed. But the Vik will suffer the double whammy of constrained sortie rates and limited number of aircraft. One way of avoiding the elevator bottle neck is to not take aircraft into the hangar unless necessary. That might help in increasing the sortie rate.

Those inboard elevators being able to carry only one aircraft at a time will be a major liability against sortie rates.

I was wondering if Russia can co-operate with India in the development of AESA type radar , both for ABM system and Naval systems.

India has experience in developing AESA radars and the first ABM radar LRTR which is better in many aspect to GreenPine ( range , number of targets its can track and can track higher velocity targets ) can co-develop it with Russia.

Similarly the Elta 2248 AESA Radar /Barak-8 system which will arm frigates starting with P-17A will help russia quicken the development period.

So far the TOT has mostly been one sided , now the reverse may work as well.

The LRTR and the Barak-8 are more of codevelopments and not just straight TOT. Therefore, the Israeli side probably has a say in where the technology ends up. Similiar to how the Russian side has a say in where Brahmos tech and systems can end up.
