    One for the Ladies……

    Men are like…
    Men are like department stores…
their clothes should always be half off.

    Men are like computers…
hard to figure out and never have enough memory.

    Men are like coolers…
load them with beer and you can take them anywhere.

    Men are like chocolate bars…
sweet, smooth, and they usually head right for your hips.

    Men are like coffee…
the best ones are rich, warm, and can keep you up all night long.

    Men are like horoscopes…
they always tell you what to do and are usually wrong.

    Men are like plungers…
they spend most of their lives in a hardware store or the bathroom.

    Why are men like laxatives?
They can irritate the crap out of you.

What are the two reasons men don’t mind their own business?
    No mind – no business

How are men and parking spots alike?
The good ones are taken and what’s left is handicapped.

Why is it hard for women to find men who are sensitive, caring and goodlooking?
Because those men already have boyfriends.

Why can’t men get mad cow disease?
    Because they’re all pigs.

Quote//SCG has, on numerous occasions, attempted to speak with the custodians of Alpha-Foxtrot. They really do need to enlist our assistance to at least preserve AF as its evident, 2 1/2 years since she was delivered to Filton, that they have no concrete fundraising plans in place to ensure that she is put undercover as a matter some urgency.

BA, AB, BAC all work closely together on AF at Filton, what is that telling you?
and you do have concrete fund raising plans then? which of course these people must already be aware of? or should be, in the form of a BUSINESS PLAN but then no, you answered that already……..

Well that is good news then, we all await the day when you are granted it… at least we know now that Save Concorde Group have applied for it now.. Im sure all us here and at BA, BAC and AB will eagerly await the confirmation from the above links..that’s worthy of a press release in its self isnt it…still Im sure all those people mentioned and who frequent this forum will be really interested to know that snippet. We await with interest now..

Ps, Was it me, or did the last press release state “the campaign, pressurising BA to return a Concorde to flight” if a pressure group why would you need charity status? bit confusing isnt it….

Explain to me how you can put a business plan together when a) this is not a business, it is a charitable group / association / campaign – whatever you want to classify it

What are we classifying it, this SCG thing today then?, you only appear when there is a story I hasten not generated from yourselves, and attatch yourselves to it yet again… is that cos you have no news, no progress then? “goalposts” you lot should play for the world cup…you would probably have more luck….
I’m more interested on why you cant answer questions put to you ,further up the thread….where is you charitable status then?????? A campaign….uh no dont think so..

Thanks david for your clarification on the meaning of (a good Farce) yes,I have to say the events surrounding the subsequent scrapping and other events you mention did make for dramatic and whimsical reading in part.So yes I can completly understand the context in which you were meaning.
The original thread mentioned (fickle enthusiam) which taken in the context of when the “going gets tough the tough get going” type senario… I was simply saying for my part that was not how it was for me personally.
It did not come to fruition, and for people such as myself it does not dampen my enthusiam and hope that yes I can become involved, and would be willing to step up to the plate…

Olympus – ‘Deadly serious’ and the Vulcan in question must be a contradiction! It had all the elements of a good farce!

Well, that is your opinion David of which you are more than intitled to have, I am not in the habit of offering money for the “hell” of it.
Farce? well I dont claim to be in the avaition game, I’l leave that to people such as your-self, however if that is the kind of reaction trying to save something generates (a good farce) then it does not send out a very positive signal/image to others that may want to try to save and get involved with preservation, namely me “good old Joe Public”,after all It’s up to us all to make our own minds up about what is and what is not worth-while… 🙂 Of course it really does not matter anyway, it it went to the “Vulcan Hangar in the Sky” so that’s one less to worry about now… 🙂
