Its sold?? what… the nose?
God…. the saga continues… I think Wildcat has a good point… the people with XL391 nose aren’t concerned with preservation more like milking it for what they think they can get, its nowhere near worth £4,000, and no there was no reserve on it on ebay… they are taking the P**ss!
On the subject of the Flying Fortress, “when Harry met Sally” (B) ok, yeah that was pathetic……
I thought it was “Memphis Belle: The Story of a Flying Fortress”?
Could be wrong….
er yeah, thats what i thought too…..
Spot on!
TT
Thankgod! was beginning to doubt the “one brain cell” I have… 😮
ok, ok, shall I try “Spitfire” starred David Niven??? Or should I leave now????
er…”Memphis Belle”
Concorde, timeless….. 🙂
If it had been a sunday you would be on……….with partner and a very big torch indeed! 🙂
Please except my appoligise Mrs Swan…… 😮
You should see how excited my mum and sister get at the though of a flying Vulcan, they love the things! 😀
No worries DGH 🙂 Its good to know there are Ladies out there interested… 🙂
and think of all the dads who will want to show there kids and partners the mighty Vulcan that they remember from there youth.
excuse me! 🙂 and Mums too!(lol) My son is 3 and already recognises a “Vulcan” at 40 paces!
It is important to me that my son knows of the Heritage and Preservation efforts of all aircraft….as well as my favourite (the Vulcan) and if it inspires him to join the RAF I will be one happy Mummy…. 🙂
I go to RIAT, to see the B1B Lancer especially…. and have so for the last 6 years…
Chivalry is not dead… and if the two guys who let me into their place so that I could set up my camera equipment read this…. just wanna say thanks! See you there this year! She hit “rotate” just about where I was and the noise was awesome, deafening and just fabulous….spectacular aircraft… one of my favourites…
they still do, and that would truly be fantastic to see it at RIAT…I believe flying in formation with the Red Arrows on its first flight…….
Where would I like to see it displayed…?
Simple just in the air…dont care where…just in the air
Could’nt agree more, where-ever and when-ever I will be there…… 🙂
Does anyone know tha guy who owns the Valiant cockpit that was at newark untill last year? He had ALL the instruments for the vulcan. Might be worth a try. And could someone PM me wit the details as i wouldnt mind helping out.
