RE: What airline has the worst c/s?
Britannia old scheme before the take over of TUI was boring. Air france is boring as well.
RE: Europe’s Worst Airport?
Oh just to add Bristol International with it’s new terminal is fantastic and the viewing is good and you get a good mix of aircraft, Go 737’s, BA (Brymon) Dash 8’s Embraer 145’s, Ryanair 737’s, SN Brussels, KLM, AMM, BY, MYT, and a range of european charters.
RE: Europe’s Worst Airport?
I must be the only person who likes CDG1 & 2, The place has character in that old retro respect, and CDG2 is OK, nothing special. LHR is OK, T4 is awfull for viewing unless you are airside.
Leipzig is not the best airport in the world i.e. no viewing and is very grim along with Moscow SVO 1 and 2, they are just intimidating.
Kiev in the Ukraine has a modern terminal but…….well it’s just not nice. But the worst airport I have been to in Europe would have to be Brussels, it’s just dark and unwelcoming.
I have not been there in 2 years so i don’t know if it has changed?
RE: Any info
Any idea what the airline was?
RE: Quiz
yeh the Brabazon was big. It’s maiden flight was from Filton airport in Bristol (my home city), they knocked downa village at the bottom end on the airport to extend the runway. When the brabazon did take off it only used 3/4 of the original runway!!!
RE: Quiz
My first answer are the same as saab 2000.

2: Jack Walker who also owns Blackburn Football club, With the Walker aviation group.
3: Air Canada
4: A Missile that happens to be attracted to heat?

Hope I am a little close Kabir?
RE: Picture of the week.
Brymon’s new Dash 8’s have big leather seats in the cabin and load’s of room, fantastic aircraft to fly on, not so much noise as the 100 series though which is a blessing.
RE: BA Continues Gatwick Pull-Out
Agree with you there, easyjet will now take those slots.
RE: British Airways Quiz.
Airlines they are affiliated with: Brymon/Bral/Logan/Manx/Sun air of Denmark/GB Air/Qantas/BMed/Cityflyer.

Airlines they usred to have a share: Jet Airways/Com air S.Africa/Air Liberte/Deutsch BA/Olympic/Base Airlines…can’t think of anymore
RE: British Airways Question (???)
I saw the first Interim livery at LGW (I think or it may of been Lhr)
and that was Spring/Summer 97. The full new livery was introduced June/July 97. there was alot of um’s and ahh’s at my work then (BA staff travel) but every one thought it was a waste of money and should of just kept a similar livery, but BA’s board know’s best and they wanted to be more multi cultured and show that there thanks to foreign travellers as BA carries more oversea’s passengers than British passengers. I wonder why?
RE: BA’s long haul 767’s
No there are no PTV’s in economy. But the 767 is comfortable for long haul travel, and because it is a 2-3-2 layout you do get alot of room.
Try for an upgrade at check in. The flight will be oversold they normally are on Carribean routes. And if you are lucky you may get a 777 on the route and not a 767 but who know’s?
RE: Pic Of the Day- A330!
Fantastic picture
RE: Official opening
Saw her land at Manchester on the 24 July 2002, just thought I would say that for some reason?
RE: bmibaby CWL routes announced
It’s good for the south wales community, alot of people travel to Bristol (My native city) to get the GO (now easyjet) flight’s to the likes of Spain, at least people from that region have a good choice of cities and holiday destinations now. This country need’s more of the low cost airlines, give people more choice.
Thank’s for reporting this.
RE: SriLankan to Colombo from LHR
Apologies regarding flying to Oz, I forgot they stopped. But I can categorically tell they were cheaper than Emirates. I have sold many many seats on Sri lankan to Oz, SIN, CMB, MLE. When the Tamil tigers hit out at CMB airport ,Sri Lankan lost a lot of business. Fares were slashed when they started operating again. I was selling seats with UL for under £350 on many routes. I have spoken to UL account manager in London as they came to visit us in Manchester to tell us what they will be doing to increase awareness that the strike had nothing to do UL or the british tourists. I have spoken on many diffrent occasions with UL about fares, contracts, routes and Interline agreements with EK, and EK’s fares from what I have noticed on contracts and CRS systems are not undercutting UL. What would they acheive by doing that? They hold a vested interest in the airline, they have pumped money into them? The only route that they would be competitive on would be the LHR-DXB / CMB-DXB, but then it goes down to the travelling public. People are aware that EK are a good airline, Air Lanka did not have the best reputation, but it’s now when UL are a good airline to fly with they struggle to convince people to fly with them because other people’s opinions sway them to a diffrent airline. If you know the airline and confident they are a good airline and are puntual, competitive, decent aircraft, friendly service (Sri Lankan’s are renouned for this), you are on a winner!!, and It’s unfortunate that some travel agents won’t sell them even more.
It’s upto people to make there own opinion, as we have.
