Yeah just had a look on wikipedia and Maurice Hammonds mustangs isn’t on the list, nor is “Miss Velma” at Duxford

so the answer is then between 154-156 depending on which ones you count or discount. interesting.

Wow, i’m impressed. Excellent googling there.

Who said I used google? (wikipedia actually, the Supermarine spitfire MH434 of 222 squadron is one of only 44 spitfires and seafires airworthy today ;))

    Looks like my question, so,

How many P-51 Mustangs are there that are airworthy. brucie bonus if you can also tell me the number of current airframes still here today aswell. 😀

How else can you tell something not too tediousley, what like ” The EE Lightning had 2 rolls – royce Avons on top of each other, it’s like a custard cream, the biscuits are the engines, the cream is the connections to the two, the mechanical parts. when they join something nice is made” Like that? I can’t be practical either.:D

You see that was interesting, and I learnt something by that.

I tell you about aircraft and you say i’m boring.

cos you say it in a boring way. you have to make it tedious and uninteresting.

Hi Dan, i didn’t think you would take aviation seriously.

erm, I can. just aslong as its interesting, which I believe It can be, like most things. except the history of sawdust that will never be interesting.
