    Ahh the old ‘when will the T4 fly again’ question. As Newquays resident a Canberra ‘expert’, let me put this to bed once and for all. The programme got it wrong. WJ874, aka VN799 will never fly again, period. Her fatigue life on the main spar has expired. Her engines are shot. She has internal corrosion issues as well, not serious and in check but she is permanently grounded. As to the B2/6 hybrid WK163 they have zero hour engines ready to fit which have been properly inhibited for storage by an ex Avon fitter and when funds permit and another few small issues on the airframe addressed they will be fitted with a view to a return to flight.
    Hope this helps to clear up the ongoing confusion about the T4.

    EDIT..having just seen T6’s edited comments…she was allocated the civil registration G-CDSX initially but that was cancelled 6th Nov 2014. She also has a date of ‘no flight’ declaration of 3rd March 2011
