    I just get the boring modern odds & ends….. very little small stuff…

    Just on the ILS at about 9 miles.

    You can download the B.727 spreadsheet from –

    and have a look in column I for a “C” which means current (may not be airworthy but is still currently registered). This list also give dates of when last seen in service.

    It is probably not 100% correct (one person can only read that many reports/ look at only so many photos on the web) but is the best information all in one place for individual types.

    It sat complete at Manchester Barton with the grass growing around it for a few months (I have a photo of it taken in September 2010 at Barton), before being dismantled and taken by road to Enstone sometime last year (photographed there August last year).

    Not sure how long it had been at Barton, but the grass was up to the wings.

    There have been recent reports of

    XV197/217/220/305 Hercules
    XZ721 Lynx
    ZA135, ZD478 Sea King
    774, 775 Sea King Egyptian Air Force

    all arrived by road.
