Those Balkan 154 shots are top notch.

1992? 😮 Flippin ‘eck! It’s the worst condition 13 year old airliner I’ve ever seen.

That terminal is indeed very pokey. Was very glad our flight wasn’t delayed too long as there were barely any seats left and the Canadian’s were just starting to check in for that A310 that had just arrived when our flight was called.

The terminal is actually only a few years old, just very basic. The old Cayo Coco airstrip now forms part of one of the island’s main road out to Cayo Guillermo. It’s the smoothest bit of road on the island!

The Excel 763 was looking a bit ropey these days inside. Not a patch on the Thomas Cook A330 that topjet330 was on last year. Next time I fly that distance again I’ll make sure to try and get something a bit less ancient.

    Awesome pic.

Also found this mildly amusing shot…. these spotters are lifers by the look of it… well, it beats watching the bowls or songs of praise 😉

Nice stuff! Nice to see the Atlantic AN-72 there, I get to see their birds fairly often at CVT, nice change to see one out and about.

There’s a chance I may be in Gander in a few weeks….all be it for about 15 mins. Excel have been routing some of there Cuba bound 762’s via Gander for fuelling when their 763’s have been out for maitainence.

Think one or two other European charters may still use it as a fuel stop….can anyone confirm this?

Yep, I spotted you Jon. I was only in the gallery for an hour or so. Was the one in the green top looking like the complete amateur I am 😀 . Still, was happy with what I got first time out.

May try and get down again this weekend weather and time permitting.

These are the last two shots to come out OKish (after a bit of PSP work!). The flybe Dash8 was running engine tests for a good hour beofre heading back over to the maintainence area.

Sadly have to leave before the Air Finland arrived today, as well as the AI 777. Here are the only other 2 that came out to any decent degree…..

hmmm, wouldn’t surprise me if this was indeed the supposed source for the thread on a.net. would be a fab sight though … even if the interiors look a little on the ‘well used’ side 😉
