Shuttle launch
Sorry to drag this thread up again but I’ve just seen that there is a Shuttle launch planned for when we are there (1st Nov).
Any ideas where the best place to be to see this event? How close do we have to be to get a good view?
Tony.
I remember seeing private jets and the like at airshows at Biggin Hill in the early 70’s so I don’t see that as too much of a problem. Just so long as there won’t be NO airshow at all.

It’s very interesting. I deliberately put in the title of this thread your favourite sci fi ‘CRAFT’ but so far everyone has gone for flying craft. Perhaps it’s because of the environment we are in (if I’d put the same thread on a Top Gear forum it would all be road bound CRAFT) or perhaps you mis-read the title. Anyway, it’s all good stuff so keep them coming.
For me? ‘Heart of Gold’ (HHGTTG)
Stingray (use to have a model of this that I use to play with in the bath)
Any vehicle, land or air, from Captain Scarlet.
Plus some others that I have forgotten but I’m sure will come up soon.
Tony.

Great take-off
For the record this is XZ431, of which only the cockpit section remains at Market Drayton (from Flypast mag). How sad 🙁

Quite honestly, I’d stomach watching Wayne Rooney being flown in a Spitfire…..
No. I draw the line somewhere and that would it..:D
I thought the prog was brilliant.
