    Hi,

    Thanks for the info. I have seen these pictures on the net but I think the quality of pictures that you guys take is supurb and they’re not ‘staged’.

    Looking forward to seeing some great shots throughout the year.

    I am the webmaster (i hate that term) for http://www.bigginhill-history.co.uk and I would also be interested. As far as I was aware anything about the RAF camp is owned by the IWM. My site concentrates on the town itself.

    I don’t think this is the same person. I spelt his name, in error, without the ‘e’ in Sparkes. But from what Paul has said he was in a different squadron flying different planes.

    I think the doctored photo is much older, pre 1990 (missing logo) and possibly ‘film’ rather than ‘digital’ (more grain rather than pixels).

    Get these 2 ‘blow ups’ of the undercarriage on 2 different screens, blow then to full screen and flip between the 2. Then you’ll see the reflection of the undercrriage legs on the ‘brushed out’ version.
