Use Manual for exposure setting! Take a gray-card reading (e.g. using a Kodak 18% gray-card or similar)

Good plan. But where do i get an 18% gray-card?

Yeah that does sound a bit odd. What I meant was if i couldn’t get the page to be absolutely flat then the high spots might be out of focus.

This is the stoery on the BBC Kent website but no image. They may show it again after the news tonight.

A man has been arrested after an image of a burning poppy and obscenities were posted on a social networking site.

The 19-year-old, from Aylesham, was detained on Sunday night on suspicion of making malicious telecommunications.

A spokeswoman for Kent Police said the man was bailed on Monday pending further inquiries.

On Sunday, the UK observed a two-minute silence to remember members of the British and Commonwealth’s armed forces who have died during conflicts.

No link at the moment. iPlayer only shows up the the 18th so we might have to wait a couple of days. Unless they don’t put that item on the iPlayer.

They also said on the program that they do guided tours of the wind tunnels. Anyone have any info on this? I’d love to see them. Scanned the web for info but couldn’t find anything..

    Hi Viscount,

Thanks for the advice. What aperture would you recomend to get good depth of field so its ll in focus?

Why not scan? That was me first thought but as the book is over 100 years old, opening it up fully to get a good flat scan could damage the spine. I may go down that route once I have seen the book and accessed its condition.

you all forgot that the wooden Spitfire was called the Mosquito 😎

What the BBC researcher failed to research was that the Hurricane was the one made of wood.
