An ugly one !
Actually, there’s another film on there “Dam Busters Remembered At Biggin Hill 1967” that shows a Lancaster at Biggin Hill but the rear gun is damaged. Anyone know what this aircraft is and what had happened to it?
Tony.
Spike Milligan could have answered that, once upon a time:) he used to talk to them.!!!
Jim.
Lincoln .7
I thought that was Clint Eastwood?

One question I have about this jump. I haven’t heard anyone mention nor seen anything on this thread (so it may be a stupid question but I have to ask it).
As he went through the sound barrier, did he make a sonic bang?

The continuation of the vortices – you can see the one from the port wing a little below the upper one, but less distinct.
Oh yes, I can see that now. I can’t say i’ve ever noticed this effect so dramatically before. Is it something unique to the Hunter’s wing tip?
That Hunter shot with the trailing heat and vortices is excellent.
Yeah but what’s going on with the cloud line top left in front of the hunter?
Great photos but i’m sorry, i have to say, this is THE ugliest plane I have ever seen. I can’t think of any nice features on it.
Tony.
I liked the clapper board from the filming of BoB.

I switched in and out of the programme several times.
I was pretty sure that there were some snippets of Air to Air that I did not recall seeing previously.
Anybody else?
Mark
Looked just the same to me.

The dispersal bod who gets up from his telephone and very, very awkwardly leans out of the window and says “Stand down A Flight”. Then by still keeping his back to the camera very, very, VERY jerkily sits back in his chair with all the self conscious charm of a prom night virgin!
That is the very clip I was referring to. Gets me every time. Don’t think I have ever been bothered by the Mr Caine’s comment though, i’ll just have to watch it all over AGAIN. 😀
Any excuse.
Tony
This is probably common knowledge on this site but what happened to the Mitchell that was used for filming the BoB?
Tony.
“Where are the hell are you Simon?”
Or was that Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”?
found a few on UK Air show review but not many
Thanks Rob, will check them out.
