Well it has to do with other things imho…
OK Redbull is a great sponsor to have (if you checked the website it’s all done by the same department that makes the Redbull sites aswell)…
But a lot of air forces aren’t allowed to ask entrance money for their shows (Dutch Airforce for instance). That show is entirely free of charge. only car parking for 5 euro but that goes directly to the Farmers who own the field..
It’s because the simple idea of let show the taxpayer what they do with the tax money and how we do it, Recruiting new men and women, inviting other aircraft to make things more attractive but it all has to be in one budget. That’s why we are now have a period of 3 years having an airshow and next year unfortunately none because we also have the Army and Navy putting on a show… so it’s rotating quite a bit…
Well, It’s Dutch so i like it Already :D…
Hey Blue_2,
You took alot of pics haha… goodstuff… Not bad for a first outing with the new stuff right?? Only a few remarks (hope you don’t mind me saying but they will improve your picture taking)
what picture mode were you on? Auto? or P? cause you seem to have suddenly freezing props. Use Tv for instance … Get like 1/320 for Props, 1/400-500 for Turboprops and 1/800-1250 for fast Jets… This wil give the Prop aircraft alot of motion. and the faster shutterspeed will keep the Turboprops and Jets sharper… Don’t hesitate to boost up your iso for the faster shutterspeeds so you can keep you aperature a bit squeezed..
Do some minor editing, because some pictures are quite a bit blueish. You can even get more out of your picture if you shoot in RAW mode… only downside thing is that this eats memorycards haha…
But these are a good summary of the airshow and i see you had a nice time, which was the most important thing… right?
Awesome news. I’m just hoping the weather plays ball for Waddington now!
So excelent airshow weather :), Bags are packed and ready to hop on the KL1435 on friday from Schiphol 😉
here is a link for the trips that are being made with the Dutch Dakota… (prices speak for themselves i guess 🙂 ) Click
Allbeit that 2 R1’s will be in the Static on Waddingtons Airshow this weekend… So we have our chance to say goodbye aswell…
My sincere apologies to all who got a slight heart attack…
It was not my intention to spread false rumours, but i know how delicate the P-38 story is… I hope it’s just a case of mistaken identity…
(guess i’ll need to have some extra money for some pints :o, to certain people…)
Cheers,
TG1984
Anyone got info if the P-38 and Corsair are still comming?? i’m hearing stuff that they cancelled… Flying legends also isn’t mentioned at the website of the Flyingbulls

A bit of googling i found the answer perhaps
B-25 Mitchell (Bedsheet Bomber) Ser. No.44-30861 at Wycombe Air Park/Booker
Hi Mark,
As of my knowledge, they don’t actually own a P-51. We do have 2 or 3 (one not shure because it’s linked with Belgium) here but none of them related to the Historic Flight…
PH-PSI (P-51 Damn Yankee, located at Oostwold Airport)
PH-VDF (the one i wasn’t shure about, but based in Belgium)
And P-51 44-74923 (Based at Lelystad with the Early Birds, but not a Civil registration known yet)
They do own a Spitfire wich made it’s debute flight on the RNLAF opendays (repaired panels clearly visible due to the lack of fitting decals and slight collor difference). Aircraft can acutally be seen in flight on the PlanesTV European airshow DVD…
Cheers

Matthias,
Thanks for the information. Glad we still have a “Dutch” Seafury flying somewhere in the World :).
I guess the aircraft itself was a Hawker build one because the Fokker build ones would be MK 51’s
the complete listing can be found on this website:
http://members.casema.nl/kw.jonker/Typen/H/Hawker%20Seafury-UK.htm
my honest guess that D-CACY “could” be RNLAF 10-4 / 6-4 in service from 21-4-1948 until 1-1-1959
D-CACY was the only singleseater and that bird was delivered from the Netherlands.
Matthias, u shure it was one from the Netherlands? in our databases we can’t find the original RAF registration (WG599) anywhere.
Following according to Scramble.nl database:
WG599 Sea Fury FB11 61631/ES3617 to D-CACY civ

HI There, quick question and im sorry if it was asked earlier.
Centaurus engines have the five blade prop right? The “donor heart” ones have a 4 blade right? Does this T.20 have have a Centaurus fitted? because the prop on it was a four blade one…
If you think it’s a silly question… i know where the exit is ;)..
Cheers,
