Why not just start with the “Rod Machado” school included with FS2004? 😉
The Tornado I have (I think it’s the DSB one, but can’t remember at of the top of my head), you work the “Swing Wing” by the flaps control.
As you lower the flaps to Full, the wings open, Raise the flaps to Close the wings.
I see a few votes for the 1/24th Spit’ 1a… 😉

Best…? Worst…?
The moulding and fit of all Airfix kits was some what “challenging” to say the least.
Or is it that we can say that now because we’ve all got used to the “Modern” quality of the likes of Tamiya and Hasegawa etc.
That is not what that meant… that suffix is a model (not mission) designation:
Bager, I bow to your knowldge Sir!
But I still stand by the fact the Bucc’s were essentially bombers. 😉
GR is Ground attack, Reconnaisance…
I appologise for any confusion, I missed off the Recon’ bit. But my point was that the GR designation can be broken down into “Ground Attack” and “recon”.
And “Ground Attack” means Bomber (as in, to attack the ground), not fighter. This would be, as you point out… FGA, or FGR.
And yes the Bucc’s were designated with the prefix “S”, but also carried the suffix “B”, eg S2B… A bomber.
GR1/4, GR3, GR7, Ground ATTACK Recoconnaissance.
Since they became known as GR’X’s.
Sorry, don’t agree.
The “GR” designation is “Ground Attack”…
For Ground Attack, Read… Bomber.
As for the Buccaneer, well they were all designated as “B”.
Since when was the SR-71 a fighter?
Nevermind the SR-71.
These two shots of the Buccaneer show pure design genius.
But what about the Tornado GR1/4?
.
.
.The Harrier GR3 or maybe the GR7?
Since when were these fighters?
whoa! 235kias on finals!! talk about excessive speed. Nice shots none the less there
235 with flaps at 20. And descending at 2000 ft pm 😀 😮 😀

The Buccaneer has always been one of my favourites too.
Although these two pics are nice, it’s not really a fighter is it? 😉
The lighting effects in the 2 KLM shots have got a real “Moody” look to them.
Great screenies.

Hmmmm….
ZE696. They’re STILL saying that she served in the Falklands. 😡 And that’s on the BBC news site.
