The Pan Am Tristar is now a tanker with the RAF, the rest are probably lying on a scrappie as washing machines

can anybody else remember PA Tristars at Heathrow?

Another fine selection, I took my first visit to LHR in 1984. I wish I’d taken a camera with me now.

But these photo’s are WELL before 1984. 😀

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Adam’s got far too much spare time on his hands. :p

Braniff B741 brings back a lot of memories of days down Gatwick.

N601BN “Big Orange”. (The only one to have a White Tail fin 😉 )

So, let’s see if we can try something. Let’s see how many of the following we can locate:

Aircraft in flight (should be a bunch of these!)
Non-American aircraft carriers (or US carriers outside the US)

Found the USS Kittyhawk in port at Yokosuma.

Also what about these two gliders???

The Visitors Centre near the Bath Road is still open though, isn’t it?

If it’s any help, I spent several hours parked up in the Hatton Cross Tube Station Car Park only a few months ago with no problems at all.

Yeah, it’s certainly a good view (of the approach) from there.
But, like I said you miss so much of the stuff on the ground. 🙁

I can remember, when I used to be at LHR regularly, just using the various Car Park roofs in the centre of the airport to spot from.

Never used to be a problem. 🙁
