To personally answer your first point.
Price doesn’t ALWAYS come into the decision.
I’m a firm believer in the old saying… “You get what you pay for”.
My first consideration is Airline reputation. And along with a good reputation comes the good service and entertainment anyway, so these points are covered within this criteria.
For the second point.
“Market Orientated”…
The way the current market climate is, they have to be don’t they?
I mean, you have to try and do somethings a little better than your competitors in order to compete.
I should say the most market orientated are the ones that regularly appear on the top of the annual “Best Airline League Tables”.
For the least, your probably looking towards some of the Lo-Co’s.
Also, as Moggy has pointed out, if your tickets are for business, then you sometimes don’t get a choice. Certainly I’m just told that I’ll be flying to “here and there” on “This” airline.
And the ticket is thrust into my hand.
Just my interpretation. 😉
Trim shouldn’t cause you to stall during take off, but merely make you over-rotate or make it extremely hard to rotate, but yes as Pte says it’s always best to have it “just below centre”.
That’s what I was aiming for Dean. 😀
I should have been a little more specific.
I was wondering if it was the “Over Rotation” that was causing the stall by having too steep a climb rate.
I originally posted this in the screenshots forum, because of the conversation at the time, but here is probably more apropriate.
So appologies for the double post… 😮
Just downloaded the FSX demo myself.
Only took 22 mins , it’s good to having 8Meg BB.
Thanks for the link.
One question though, if I may…
Will the demo interfere with, or up-set my FS9 installation?
Because of all the add-ons I’d rather not have to un-install that or have it screwed up.
Also the spec stated to run FSX doesn’t seem that unreasonable.
I know that you are (according to Microsoft) supossed to be able to run FS2004 on a Pentium 2, and we all know that’s no good.
But I would have thought that most users here would be able to cope with FSX without too many problems.
Don’t forget it’s still only a demo at the moment, I would suspect the final release will be improved.
Crikey… What am I saying? This is Microsoft I’m talking about. 😀
I don’t think there can be any better aircraft than the British Airways 767-300! 😉
Oh! I dunno… Hmmmmm…
A 744 in BA Chelsea Rose colours, that does it for me. 😎

Why not just use the “Add and Remove Programs” from windows itself?
And make sure your trim is set correctly. 🙂
FS2004 also worked on my old pc – 1GHz, 384mb RAM, 4mb video and 10GB HD.
4MB Video??? That must have struggled.
Surley you mean 64MB?
So i was wondering if any one has ever flown on these awesome aircraft??
C’Mon Luke mate.
What kind of question is that?
Not everyone on the forum is a young whippersnapper:p , there are a good few of us that have been around long enough to have flown on many “Older” aircraft.
One of the most impressive (if you can call it that) things about the old Trident was the “Moving Paper Map”, with a little airplane on it, in the middle of the instrument panel.
I had a cockpit visit (Anyone remember them?) on a flight LHR to Edinburgh whilst I was in the cadets.
When I told my Son they had a “Moving Map” on a paper roll, he thought I was taking the p1$$.
No GPS back then… 😀
If, by some chance, it wasn’t a photoshop edit.
Then, does anyone know what sort of atmospheric conditions would produce a “Rainbow” contrail?
Funny phenomenon that causes this effect, or a piece of work produced by someone that REALLY knows how to use Photoshop.
Bloody impressive looking either way. 😎
is it the same Sea Harrier i wonder that was on Central News the other night.. someone used it as part exchange at a truck dealership.. that to was Pegasus”less” and missing her seat.. the chap also said she flew in the Falkland campaign.. did he mean it was rebuilt from a airframe that did see service in that war.. eny info on the other surviving Sea Harriers.
YES.
The very same, it was traded, apparently, by the MOD 😮 for a Scania truck?
And…
As Bigvern says.
It couldn’t have fought in the Falklands, the serial is too late.
The a/c is believed to be ZE696.
Originally an FRS1 (delivered to RN 6th April 1988) that was MLU to FA2 spec in 1993.
So did they put a mick seat in there or the buyer has to invest in a Chair or a bench to fit inside it .
No idea.
There’s a newsreel clip on the website, he just says it’s missing the seat.
Click on the link that says… “BBC1 Midlands Today”, to view the news story.
http://www.keltruck.com/used_sales/harrier.asp
He also says on the newsreel that he “Believes it served in the Falklands”, but it couldn’t have!
Without the Pegasus engine – and its 4-poster nozzles – this Sea Harrier isn’t even a good display example!
And, I beleive, missing it’s Martin Baker seat. 🙁
