“I still think that these are PGMS not BVR missle because Mirage is only used for this purpose.”

This theory is a real long shot…..but………its interesting how at least some PAF mirage’s have recently lost there distinct ground attack cammo for a F-16 style air to air combat cammo. If the Mirage’s are the first PAF aircraft to get BVR capability it would make sense to realocate them for airwarfare.
To my knowledge the PAF has never before in its history changed the camo of a operational type so drasticly… so why do it on the Mirage?????

The report is inaccurate and by someone who has little or no knowledge of the topic – that much is not in doubt.

However also very clear is the fact that a number of members are hurting bad at any indication that the PAF may be getting more capable weapons for a more even playing field. Even if more reliable reports emerge on this issue you can bet they will try their utmost to live in denial.

Kind of reminds me of when the first few pics of the JF-17 appeared – it was funny reading some of the posts regarding photoshopping, requests for videos etc as proof of first flight. When they got that proof they moved onto ridiculing rivets, all metal body etc — sad realy

Getting back to the topic – Pakistan has always been far more secretive about military developments than India -example- India was shouting its ‘indigenous’ surface to surface misile capability for years – most people, including me thought Pakistan had been left far behind in this field – then you wake up one morning to find western media reporting ‘Pakistan has the edge in surface to surface misile tech’ —- I know the counter to this – they bought them all from China — big deal — the point is they got on a par by hook or by crook.

The lesson for our doubting friends –Pakistan will have BVR as capable as India one way or another – just a matter of time.
