Could be TFC’s Hellcat – that produces a whistle at high speeds.

The RNHF were stuck at Yeovilton, and as the flying was stopped after around half three, they remained there and flew down this morning apparently.

It was such a shame about yesterdays show, it was shaping up to be a great event.

    Never mind, nice pics.

Fantastic pics. The F16 shot is awesome! What camera are you using?

It’s a shame that the Do24 wasn’t positioned better for photography. Being positioned in the middle of the apron with the WWI Team etc blocking it there were very few opportunities to get uncluttered pics of it.

Taken between 2000 and 2002, leading is Hawker Restoration’s XII, to the left is the then-TFC XII and the right is the Shuttleworth Sea Hurricane.

Sadly both Connies cancelled. The Dutch one is not airworthy yet and as for the Super Connie, something to do with the high cost of flying to the UK I believe.

Check out the Biggin site – the programme lists ‘Do24 & Catalina Flying Boats’ This may mean that the Dutch Cat will be making an appearance along with the DX based example 🙂

    Very nice pics.

I agree with what Damien said – regardless of the weather conditions, they always put on a good show. Their July flying evening was fantastic – classic Old Warden. I’ve been lucky enough to see the Edwardians fly a number of time this year; in fact, I’ve seen them at most Old Warden shows I’ve been to this season!

    P51D, Sea Fury or A26.

Skyraider and P40 would be high up the list as well.

Having sat inside the likes of the B17, B29 and Lancaster at DX (work experience) I can safely say that I would much rather spend time in a more spacious a/c like the Sunderland (very nice and wide) or B52 (amazingly huge aircraft, both inside and out) The interior of the B17 made me realise just how cramped it must have been. Movies like Memphis Belle do not accurately portray the real conditions inside the aircraft.

    Great pics.

Who is the pilot in Twilight Tear? I know it’s Brian Smith in EP120.

    Nice pics.

Is that Cliff Spink in the Wildcat? The bone dome and oxygen mask look familiar.
