This is as old as the hills.

It was also told to the Oxford University union in 1958 by Gerald Hoffnung.

    Still quite funny though!

My favourite has always been Fawlty Towers. I can watch them over and over again and I still laugh my socks off!

It mentioned the type and registration of the aircraft.

What about the type and registration of the van?

Surely that is discrimination against vans!

It’s a step in the right direction.

Fingers crossed that it will get the go ahead!

Bear in mind John Dedman won’t be in office for much longer, hopefully!

Except that Islam4UK (am I allowed to say that now?) announced that they had given-up their intention to march through Wooton Bassett before they were banned. Did they actually even apply to the council to march in the first place? I doubt it.

How do you ban (the group formally known as) Islam4UK anyway?

Interview their members and keep them under surveillance? Close their registered offices? Freeze their bank accounts? Seize their funds? Confiscate and destroy their documents? Shut down their website? Dismantle their printing, publishing and distribution apparatus?

Honestly, it’s five blokes with a laptop…..not the Pentagon! ‘Mumsnet’ has more political clout!

….and send them to either Afghanistan or Iran where they have as much freedom as speech as they want!

The only comment I have is that any sort of weighted selection is wrong. In any selection process the key crirterium should always be that the best individuals should be considered, regardless of sex, colour, ethnicity ( what a dreadful word ) or creed.

Shouldn’t the last word be “greed”!

I too am a member of the BBCT – a very worthwhile organisation which deserves as much support as it can get.

If you are concerned about our disappearing wildlife, this is a very good place to start.

For for information go to http://www.bumblebeeconservation.org.uk/

I was surprised how many Daks were listed for BEA in 1957….noteworthy that they outlived the Viking with BEA….the Rapides served the Isles of Scilly till replaced by S-61 helicopters in 1964…I dont know when they finished in Scotland

I was a passenger on the delivery flight to Channel of G-AGZD from Heathrow to Southend on the 27th July, 1960.
