But here in lies a problem? what if he is competetive? what then, does ferrari sack kimi, to replace him next year? does he say you know what I’ve got 7 championships under my belt, I have no worries and pressures to win another what if and is there highly competitive teams wants my services next year? remember that Norbert Haug wanted him to drive for Mcclaren Mercedes as an alternative to retirement? i just wander to myself hmmmmmm.

Its looking like Massa is recovering really well now lets hope the damage to his left eye is repairable or at least not to serious to effect him.
It shows the danger of the sport even after the safety changes that have come in the last decade or so.As to Michael Schumacher rejoining the sport, I always wonder about such moves, He is rightly a legend for his time in the sport but the sport has moved on since he retired. He is 40 now and the Ferrari is not really that competitve so other than for loyalty to Ferrari would there be any point being a also ran?.
I would rather see a younger driver given the seat for rest of season there’s little for Ferrari to lose by doing that.
I heard today that the doctors have said the eye is fine. I kinda agree and disagree about herr Schunacher however the car is technical, its a challenge to drive right now, however amongst the seemingly destruction of FIA, F1 needs a publicity boost and MS at Spa and Monza would be tremedous. Its kinda like the old football player who wonders if he still has what it takes, to compete. The F60 is a dud, however maybe with MS’s input he could wring a win out of the car, and give them useful information for next years car.

Last weekend I made a fleeting visit down to Rochester to see the RAF Museums Boulton Paul Defiant. As you can see the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society team have already made considerable progress, thankfully the airframe is remarkably complete which will hopefully make the project a little easier.
The engine is also in extremely good condition despite its many years of display and storage.
I hope to get down to Rochester in the near future to record future progress of this sole survivor.
Hopefully forumite ‘JBS’ will keep us up to date with the restoration.
Septic.
I have always been fond of the Defiant, I really can’t put my finger on it, It just shows you the wide range of fighter types on both sides before and during the early parts of the war
I don’t want to sound retarded but why with Collings foundation resources could they not fabricate new mounts? In my model club I have the privelege of meeting a true Wild Weasel pilot who flew the THUD in combat, and he often tells me when they flew the THUD at Red Flag exercises, he would often chuckle at the F-15’s struggling to keep up with him on the deck!
I hope he recovers quick but let’s not jump to quickly and assume Michael Schumacher will be returning to the seat for the next race.

do you know what squadron colors she will be representing if and when she is finally finished?
When my dad was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford, they had all kinds of NATO a/c rotating in and out, mostly Italian F-104’s and such.
