not a chance his entire f1 career will be with maclaren, hes been signed to them since he was 10 so why change?

i know i kid, but there was a spat of world champions who either lost their ride, or had very uncompetive cars the next year, for example, Damon Hill won with Williams Renualt and the next year wound uo with TWR ARROWS, J. Villaneuve won the following year at Williams, and the car was quite non responsive.

Well face it, its about time we had another British winner of the World Championship – last British winner was some 12 years ago with a certain Mr Damon Hill (legend!) and since then we’ve not really had a decent enough British driver to contend for the title until Lewis came onto the scene.

Ok, those that follow the sport religiously will say what about Jenson Button? Well what about him…he’s not been quite as inspirational as Lewis has he!

Also, seeing as we are talking about British drivers, I think its important to recognise the career of David Coulthard, who leaves the sport after 15 seasons. Yesterday was his last F1 race, so sad that it ended quickly at Turn 2/3 on the first lap…! Well done to you too DC for an exceptional career! I did hear a rumor he might consider being a commentator on TV, which will be fantastic.:)

And to all the F1 fans out there, dont forget that next season the footage moves back to the BBC…now all we need is for Murray Walker to come back, and it will be just like old times!:D

Brazil hasn’t had a champion since 1991, so I think they’re due on too.

I hope with this championship that Hamilton, will be a lil bit more conservative next year. I hope he won’t go off at the mouth and toot his own horn soo much like he did this year, example claiming that he was a better driver than Aryton Senna, which was a bit much. But congrats anyways.

Did the air ministry at the time approve of such radical features? For example, B-52 Had a tandem cockpit, Lemay wanted a revised cabin he got it. The Victor lookd odd in the nose section, almost too futuristic at the time, was there any conversations on a revised cockpit section or was the air ministry happy with the end result. Also i noticed and it was archaic but no defensive armament on any of the V-bombers? B-52,B-47,B-58,and the B-66 all had a form of defensive tail armament.

hey keep the posts coming, all replies are very interesting. Do any of you have a pic of a Victor with a bomb load, or an earlier variant?

hey thanks for all the replies, they were excellent, keep them up. I wonder and I know the feasibility and the possibility of the U.S. gov’t doing this, but I wonder what the B-52 or B-47 would have been like in the RAF?
