This isn’t my video, so all credit goes to the person it belongs to. I hope they don’t mind me posting the link, if you do let me know and I’ll remove it.
I like men in uniform 😉
I’m just kidding 😀 lol
When I was little my dad used to take me to air shows before he died and I just have a love for all things aviation. Plus I was obsessed with all old airfields as a child, and at school I remember doing a summer History homework assignment on the airfields of Lincolnshire, got an A in it as well 😀
I know nothing about engineering and I wouldn’t know how to fly a plane, I just love being able to sit at Coningsby every once in a while and photograph what ever shows up 🙂
Ok fine I’m a spotter :p:D lol But that’s what happeneds when you have Waddington on one side of you house and scampton on the other lol.
Before they built all the houses behind us, we had a lovely view of both flight paths 😀
The one day I was out and I missed it lol luckily a friend of mine filmed it, it looked amazing.
Mean while I saw the Typhoons come back to Coningsby, they looked really good too, if anyone’s going to London on Saturday, you’re in for a real treat.

Not a great photo I know, but you get the point.
edit: I forgot the photo lol
I agree, check out the viewing guide

Personally I just like to sit and watch from the main veiwing area, and you can get nice shots if they come in that direction, and nice take off shots if they take off the other end. But I only have a cheapish digital camera so it wouldn’t matter where I stood lol
I’ve got the Lincolnshire one and I agree it’s a great book, I’ve read it cover to cover at least twice. At some point I’d like the Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire ones.
It’s facinating how many airfields there are around the small area where I live. I knew about the obvious ones, Fiskerton for example, but others like Dunholme Lodge I had no idea existed (had I gone to the school in Welton I’m sure I would of, but as I didn’t, I didn’t), and Bardney I knew about from working in austacre wood with my dad and Butterfly conservation when I was 6,7,8 years old, and one of the older gentlemen was telling me about the airfield.
I’m probably wrong as usual ;):D but the TF and DA will be combined as it would have been Friday if the weather hadn’t defeated them. So it’ll be *fingers crossed* one flight, from what I understand.
It’s just a case of getting everyone important (Flight crew, CAA e.t.c.) all in the same place at the same time as well as good weather.
Auster J1N Alpha at Skegness…sadly did not record which one..but it could have been G-AHSO, G-AJEI or G-AHAL…
Clive.
It was G-AJEI for me 😀 late 1980 something, 88′ 89′, I was probably 5 or 6 at the time.

That’s me and ‘Polar bear’ going for our first flight.

Fantastic vids/photos guys!!

Well as I don’t have a middle name I used the last letter of my first name.
G-AHNM, AVRO 688 TUDOR IVB (scrapped from what I can tell 🙁 )
Or if I use the last letter of my sername then
DH82A TIGER MOTH T7963 (G-AHML) Crashed Sywell 13.6.48 🙁
Bullshooter : I am as mortal as you . You clearly stated that you were being given stick for remaining anonymous – whereas the truth was that you were giving other people the stick . So please by all means give me a jokey reply about how some people pick up on spelling or grammer rather than by saying what you posted was wrong . I have always posted under my own name and don’t see any real reason why others don’t.
Well for my part it’s purly because at school, then college then at uni we were all told never give out personal info on message boards (names included), and as this isn’t the only forum I post on (the rest have nothing to to with aviation with one exception) it’s just habit I suppose.
Helen, no experience with aviation at all 😀 lol.
BBMF Dakota currently flying around Lincoln. A real treat on a quiet lunch time 🙂
Sorry to be “blinkered”, but I think it’s high time to just let sleeping dogs lie (at least for a couple of hours at any rate :p 😉 😀 lol) or what ever that saying is, and enjoy what so many people have worked so hard for.

(yes that is me doing the aweful commentary 😀 lol)
She’s fully servicable and that’s all I care about at this moment in time 🙂 I hope the CAA get a move on with the permit and the money keeps coming so she’ll be at an air show soon!!
Big congrats to all the engineers, crew, volunteers, all the behind the scenes people and anyone I’ve missed out plus all the those who have given money!!
ok i’ve finished gushing 😉 😀 back to the debate :p 😀
Amazing photos!!! truely.

That was my attempt, mine arn’t anywhere near as good as yours though 😀
I just snapped of a few pics from my back garden as they were heading into Waddington (we live under the flight path, ish).
Sorry to intrude on your thread by the way, hope you don’t mind?
16:00 ish Lancaster heading home? over my house (NE Lincoln), always a pleasure to see her.
