I’d given up watching a long time before that!

Same here, I never even made it to part two, I think I got to about 30 mins into part 1 then I watched Indiana Jones instead 😀

Not quite a historic warbird, but I’ve found that ladies have a special affinity towards the Harrier. I had some of my photographs decorating a friends stall at an airshow and it was amusing to watch the guys come in and scrutinize all my various pics whereas their partners would go straight to a picture of a Harrier in the hover.
After speaking to a few female friends it appears that the Harrier, sat on a dirty great big column of thrust, with all the associated noise and tangible power, seems to stir some rather basic feelings/associations. I kid you not!

As a ladie I quite agree, I’m very partial to harriers 😀

My list would be in no particular order

    Dakota
    P-38 Lightning
    Sea Vixen
    Lincoln
    Vulcan

    Honerable mention to the Spitfires.

The BBMF have their own car park opposite the cantre, it’s well sign posted.
Then if you carry on up the same road (dogdyke road), after the sewerage works and before you get to the warning lights you’ll see the veiwing area, it will be busy, so your best bet is to get there early.

I may be there, havn’t decided yet, but I normaly go for my lunch on a wednesday lol so even if the Vulcan isn’t there I’ll be going as per normal lol 😀 so there better be a space for me 😉 lol 😀

I can’t help with ETA i’m afraid, but even if she doesn’t go the BBMF is well worth it!!

What a shame we didn’t go up the A1 20 minutes later than we did lol I heard the tower tell another aircraft that they had an aircraft mayday, but I didn’t put two and two together, I assumed when we headed home we’d missed her. I’m glad everything’s ok.

I think it’s been 50000 a month for ages, I seem to remember Mr Pleming saying it way back at the end of January when there was a forum day at Brunty, although I’m sure there must be someone else who was there that day and who has a better memory and was stood closer than myself, as we couldn’t hear a thing for the most part lol :D.

    Same here.

Although saying that I can understand it to an extent, how ever it was most unfair to those of us who can’t afford to become members, but that’s life I guess 😮

And before I forget again:D thank you very much for the update Smiler, much appreciated 🙂

There is this boy in my form, who is rather annoying.
lets cut to the chase h once said “i would rather see a f22 fly than vulcan xh558” ok thats his opinion but what did once say was “xh558 is a bucket of bolts” 😡 (that made me really annoyed, cos its not)
what do think?, would you rather see a f22?

p.s can you also explain to him that there was no Seaking in the film “TRANSFORMERS” (Which i don’t like, its a bit boring)

    thanks 🙂 🙂 🙂

Strikes me that your friend has never had the pleasure of seeing a Vulcan fly;) 😀 , If 558 makes it onto the display scene and he experiences it for himself I think he’ll change his opinion 😉

I’d like to see an F22, just to see what all the fuss is about, but for me at least the Vulcan is far more interesting 😀
