About the costing of the carrier.
no matter how much it costs, the money are pretty much being spent domestically rather than paying to someone else.:)

reminds me of the 08 pre-Olympic Tibet riot
    Or ‘unrest’ according to BBC
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-10723140

BBC never cared and never wanted to talk about how many shops and houses were burnt, how many innocent civilians stabbed or burnt alive in their houses and cars. They just call it unrest and then went on and on about government’s violence reaction and human rights stuff.

Now look at what happened in UK… how familiar it is:(
    make me think a bit…
In this kind of situation fast armed police response + media / online network control might not be a bad thing after all.

Hopefully medias will learn a thing or two, and choose their words more carefully when this sort of things happen again.
it is funny to see how they call this one an ‘unrest’ in their early reports and urge the police to be peaceful and respect human rights blablablah until their own van was attacked…

I just noticed that the tails are both canted inwards (or outwards?) — and it is during landing as well. Is this evidence that the aircraft can use its all moving tails as airbrakes as some people have speculated?

more likely for lift/pitch control, as the tail rotation axis is tilted outward and backward, when rotated as shown it that pic, positive lift is generated this way

When the pak-fa flew for the first time, the J-20 was probably being built at that time, meaning the prototype design work must have all be finished so there is no way that the J-20 could have been designed with the Pak-fa in mind however with the F-22 they would have almost certainly had wind tunnel models and computer models (would be abit dumb if they did not).

With regards to the configuration set up it its like saying the ‘J-20 has significant American influence’ due to similar body/intake layout.

I do agree with the last point that Chinese have made great advances and do not want to downplay it but at the same time some of the claims sound exaggerated.

Moveable DSI would mean that the DSI bump is made of a rubbery kind of material in order to change shape, could change shape by increasing and decreasing pressure, kind if like a balloon. I remember seeing an F-35 picture were the rear part of the elevator had some kind of flexible joint, presumably it is treated with RAM so I suppose it is possible.

I think the so called Movable DSI (if it exists) has a adjustable lip or internal adjustment panel rather than the rubbery bump…

A better look at the adjustable intake.

BTW, it’s Black Ribbon, as the Chinese call it.

nope… this is what we call it…

given the usual professional quality of the photoshops I won’t be surprised if these are done by the ‘3rd People’s Photoshop Regiment of the PLA 1st Group Army’.

Another yellow skin, probably fresh from production line. Those images are de facto official. It seems the authority is going to de classify the a/c carrier alongside with its shipborne fighters.

I heard that the DOD announced the presence of the carrier yesterday?:D

    very true,

an airframe that’s designed under an assumption of xx hourse with a certain distribution of gs during service life. with anther level of gs during life that may not hold true.

even the frequency of g’s matter.

    2nd year Mech-Eng fatigue life calculation:D

I seems both of us are aware of that J-15 ought to be temporary for training, but the artist didn’t know why it is improper that highly swept wing for taking -off from carrier with canard removed.
again blind faith in BUMP, how stupid it is:diablo:

This drawing is done by a member in CJDBY who’s famous for his OWN aircraft concept and designs:rolleyes:
