I dont know what you are trying to imply but I will tell you this: J-20 is definitely not bigger than a Flanker.

I’m making a 1:20 model of J-20 at the moment, which involves all sorts of estimations of dimension via current photos, my estimation is: Length 21m x Width 13-14m

which indeed is smaller than Flanker

Besides, there is a photo showed a group of people stand around J-20 in which focul point is that main wheel with several people aside so we can see excatly the height of that wheel really is almost taller than a man’s hip, same at least. It is a huge jetfighter since Tu-128 and Yak-250.

so wheel size has a direct relationship to aircraft size?

i would say there are elements of Comanche in the fuselage design if you look at the second image posted by Deino (although obviously the RCS goals were totally different)

the bottom part does look very comanche.
The IR reduction exhaust system of Comanche is very clever, it would be very nice to see something doing similar job on WZ-10 in near future

perhaps it is because the picture has been denoised heavily thus loosing detail information…

If I can’t even spot the joints on control surfaces, it’s very unlikely I can spot weapon bay joint/slot on the same photo right? Regarding photo quality and/or engineering level.

    Same logic…
on those bottom view photos I can’t even see a single slot on elevon/flaps joints…damn that means J-20 doesn’t have any working elevon/flaps:diablo:

Actually I think this is some kind of conductive rubber seal on joints, maybe on weapon bays too?

no idea what you are trying to say?
Moderator said no politics then you talked political.
Plawolf just answered your question of what the threat is. Is there a problem with your reception? If so, I can repeat the point:

the US deployed F22 and B2 in Guam, was that a aggressive or a defensive move to fly a “stealth fighter” thousands miles away home???

Cruise missile obviously not a off topic talk. If you talk about F35, I said please do not mention its carriers because IT IS POLITICAL, what would you think about it?

Obviously for some people everything China did or going to do is purely bad and evil. No reason needed, or shall we say being China is the only reason.

back to topic, is it logical to make retractable IRST?

The point is to ask you, among others, to say why the Chinese feel the need to have a ‘stealth fighter’?

A weapon system like this is only needed if one has an aggressive intent. Do you think the Chinese have an aggressive intent?

Or maybe this aircraft is purely defensive…do you suppose the purpose is to oppose the US marketing of the F-22 to the Tibetians? Or since the CCCP [sic] was mentioned, maybe the Chechens?

But I didn’t. I asked you. And you didn’t answer the question.

Of course my question was political. I said it was. What I didn’t say was anything about ‘cruise missiles’.

    Care to answer my questions?

You seem to have your answer already…

when the pilots and the engineers got over their hangovers.

    ROFL:D

Someone in CD said it was flown today. credibility unknown.

Personally I think they’ve done everything for this year, so may be after Chinese new year

Have you ever seen the radar blocker was mentioned by him in this page?
Did you know what the Radar Blocker which would be fitted on PAKFA looks like?

I can only assume it’s something like F-18 E/F’s blocker, however no one knows untill T-50-2 comes out right?
Or you have already got an idea of what does it look like?

    Ohh yeah? Non obstructed!
What that bump would be then?

I think he meant the radar blocker inside the inlet which indeed reduce the efficiency

The bump of DSI actually contributes to pressure recovery as well as dumping boundary layer

However I think supersonic LD ratio is more important than TWR in terms of ‘how fast they go’… Concord with TWR lower than 0.4 being a good example

Again layout of J-20 abey area law better as well as canards providing positive lift thus less induced drag.

So for the ordinary Chinese public it never happened. 😮

    I was answering this…

What data are reported and what about the future mission role of the J-20?!

The existance of J-20 is not a question:D?
