Wrong, this “madman” cant really do much because cetain people who belong to a certain class of societey have done everything to not let the reforms through and or undemine every single decision he made, why i do not know, maybe because he is not of a type fo skin colour, maybe because he is from the low class but its not fair to blame it all on him and call him a madman, i have been there myself with a few IMF ppl and believe me, its surely not all his fault not even to a large extent.
Oh here we go again on the ancient marxist though . Chavez is just tryng to fix the country but the evil rich one wont let him !!! Sure before him Venezuela wasnt much better than now but surely Chavez with its populists actions is just speeding Venezuela’s historical GDP fall and when Venezuela’s GDP get some increase is just because of the rise of international oil prices . Yes I know he made some health programs ( dont know its extensions but anyway better than nothing ) but really this is just a cosmetic device , I dont see anything serious at Venezuela’s economy to increase its economy and social numbers Thats the problem when you dont get an efficent economic politics faced to economic and and social improvement : a populist comes and be on the power for ages just perpetuating the country’s problems .
More pics , enjoy it :

Brazil is about to launch a suborbital rocket
My last post today I promisse 😀 !!!
News are copied and pastsince only subscribers are able ( I think ) to read it . IThis news is from a brazilian newspaper “Folha de Sao Paulo”. Among other things it says the rocket is able to carry 400kg to a 300km of range at Mach 6 😮 and important countries like Germany are heavily interested on it . Sem teste, Alcântara prepara novo foguete
SALVADOR NOGUEIRA
I agree that we should focus in how to improve the living standards of latin america as a whole but without technology that is impossible in a world of economic competition i would ask you would you recommend to the US to stop it`s space program? or degrade it air force as that of Mexico or Argentina? we should focus as Embraer has done into creating a powerful technical base to make money and develope our living standards but without aerospace and telecommunications that is impossible Latin America should join the international space program but as a joint latin american space program or at least as a MERCOSUR sponsor space program as ESA is for the EU and as the Russian or europeans have done with our own technology not just as buyers or users of american or european technology to sponsor a space program you need a market, not a goverment and the civil space exploration is knocking the door in the 21st century why latin america should follow NASA but not Kurt Rutan? we should connect the Telecomunications industry to the aerospace industry and you will have civil funding.
1)I think differently . I dont see technology as important for a country to develop . There are many countries in the world whose tech level is lower than brasil and their living standarts is much better than ours .
2) Kifir was born when israeli spies stole Mirage’s technicial infos from belgian territory
3) Please lets not forget our Santos Dumont , the one who invented the airplane 😀
“Well the A-29 would be the new Co-In a/c of the world IMHO but I’d like to see what the new attack version of the Pampa is going to be like.”
Hi Mate, I don´t want to be new….in nothing 🙂 As far as I know Argentinean AF uses the´Pampa in advanced pilot training as well as light attack. Basically the same for us regarding the At-26 Xavante (same as Impala).“Hmmm… I know which magazine it is !I used to buy it but gave up of it on the second edition when the part about Brazil was heavily politiced as if our airforce was the crapiest of all LA ones ( Im talking about the middle 90’s edition one when Peru hadnt the Mig29 and venezuelan F16’s used only AIM9) .”
I´m not a regular reader of this magazine, basically each year has the same info. But this issue brought good pics as well as some new info, which is good.“All indicates that it’s true A-29, especially in the field of pilot’s training.
But the official news, so far, are more or less like this (this was published in late July):
I think that the training of F-16s pilots has been included in that agreement…which sounds great, having in mind the years of practice and knowledge by the Türk Hava Kuvvetleri on the Fighting Falcon operations”
I think not only for pilot training but also for ground crews. Not to mention that in the future, exercises can be made between Chilean and Turkish F16 squadrons.
Well if you someday prefer more info than pics I suggest you the anual edition of FLight International which gives all airforces inventory and their future plans. But it has few pics .it is released around november. 🙂
See what I meant the cockpit’s pick above ( fom Dassault) is worse for me than those taken from a greek aircraft.
Cazador, nice pics. The Super Etendard made some touch and goes during the change port of USS Ronald Reagan, Brazilian A4s did the same. Also Pampa pics are great, looking at this jet, reminds me the Alpha Jet.
A lot of rumours about the introduction of the Amramm in Chilean F16s, but they decided for the Derby, which was a nice move. I’m also read in a Brazilian Magazine that every year publishes a survey of the Latin American AFs that Chile signed an agreement with Turkey to train Chilean pilots assigned to the F16 (Turkey have a large experience on F16s and already operates block 50/52 version). Can our Chilean friends confirm this?
Regards
Hmmm… I know which magazine it is !I used to buy it but gave up of it on the second edition when the part about Brazil was heavily politiced as if our airforce was the crapiest of all LA ones ( Im talking about the middle 90’s edition one when Peru hadnt the Mig29 and venezuelan F16’s used only AIM9) .
Hehe marketing is everything … to help or destroy . The MK2000-5 cockpit showed here is more cool than the one showed by Dassault
Interesting how technology evolutes . The Pampa has a small nose but its going to receive a radar on its upgrade !!!
Let me add some stuffs we , brazilian use 😎 . Enjoy!:
Some pics of brazilian indigenou air to air millise MAA-1 Piranha ( as you can see the warhead changed from that one Flogger post here ) . THis missile has the maneuverability as well as range comparable to a MAgic 2 , AIM 9L ( it supports 45Gs) but its seeker is as advanced as a AIM 9X or Mica IR making it almost immune to flares and it will incorpore a ” capatibilitie of discrmimination of false targets”!

The Piranha will be able to prouce images of targets like this one :

MAA-1 Warhead :

Pic of some AAA as well as SAM and other stuff installed on brazilian most moder battleships , some are indigenous as the efficient jammer to full other sips as well as sea skimming missiles : The Niteroi ( before the upgrade was the Uk’s one Type 22 we still use ) :

Our great Sao Paulo :

Brazilian Aspide 2000 SAM fired!

i do not understand why you say that very well could you be more explicit and explain it little bit further please.
I feel the SU-35 is the best option no doubt about it.Brazil should continue with Mirage 2000 or Su-35 only because they are Cheap, nations like Pakistan have the FC-1 but it`s economy is in shatters, China or India have Su-27/30 MiG-23/27, MiG-21/J-7, LCA, J-10s, J-8/J-8II and a great array of weapons but their living standards are lower than those of Brazil Mexico and Argentina despite their economic rate growth so giving too much importance to the military growth is wrong Embraer products are better than the J-10, LCA simply because the Chinese or Indians hardly sell any of their jets in the international market and China has broken many deals with the russian when China has sold Q-5, J-7s or J-6s as it`s own products and mostly to really poor nations that can not afford western equipment and an economic crisis in China or India will mean as in Russia a stall in military development.
Brazil as Argentina has too many strings attached, for example the Argentinians were developing the Condor II a missile that would had helped Argentina in t`s space program but under US and British military suspicious and economic pressure it`s development was halted.
Brazil has choosen the civil development of it`s aviation and has a domestic technology and Industry, Argentina now has Lockheed but no more domestic industry.
Embraer and the VLS can become money makers, Embraer is already a real world known brand and at least Embraer is making money so i feel only unless Avibras makes money as Embraer or brings a good technology transfer deal for the VLS or the Brazilian rocket industry, i feel Avibras bid has a disadvantage in that sense and the Mirage 2000 is the best option mostly becasue Embraer is making money and hiring workers thing that Lockheed did not do in Argentina when it took over the FMA that makes the IA-63 Pampaon the picture the Abibal a Iraqi missile developed upon the Argentine Condor II, this missile had many international objections due to the lack a real Argentine Space program as the Brazilian VLS
The Embraer 170 has been exported while the J-8II, J-10 or LCA remain mostly domestic products for the Air Forces of China and India and the most likely will be harder to sell and being purchased by more export buyers than the Embraer 179/190 series.
The ERJ-145 even in military markings has been exported more than any J-10 or LCA at the moment on the picture a ERJ-145 for the Greek Air Force
Flogger said here an important thing I would like to call attention . Till the 90’s there was a kind of “Cold War” between Brazil and Argentine . Fortunetly things nowadays are more like friendship symbolized through MERCOSUR ( well many economists say , and I agree , its not that economic efficient but politically surely it is ) despite some comercial diputes but which country does not have it? Ok coming back to our “Cold War” these countries were involved on an arms race one competing with the other and the argentinean Condor program was estimulated by Iraq as well as the brazilian VLS program . The objective of Iraq was having an ICBM developed by a country which had more advanced technology which was the case of Brazil and Argentine . Also Iraq chose these 2 countries to estimulate good performance since Iraq knew they were rival . Summarizing Iraq had the money for our ambitions and we had the tech and good professionals available for that .
Erez- Israel having nukes is currently only a rumor- with no hard facts to support it. There is no point of discussing it, as you might as well be discussing about Sumalia having a Klingon spaceship. (Actually Im really surprized that someone like you is making such a statement so blindly).
As for the weapons- the information given is wayyy too general to make any assumptions. It could also be the guided MLRS or other stuff like that.
Rumor supported by many nuclear , military strategistis around the world inlcuinf the International Nuclear Agency Control which doesnt have total freedon inside Israel as well as that israeli arrested at Israel for revealing Israel has a nuclear program . And Israel itself never assumed or denyed it .
Well if there is any chilenean here , please forgive me but everytime I look at your Awacs with its funny nose I get a desire to laugh! . Looks like someone gave lots of punchs on the aircraft 😀
Hello all, I´m new in this forum but couldn´t resist:
US has always been very sensitive about selling state-of-the-art weapons to it´s neighbours, for geopolitical reasons 😉 . Brasil´s FX program is a good example, the F-16 type offered doesn´t have BVR capability. No problem with that though, there is a lot of potential suppliers elsewhere and to be honest, the possibilitie of large, even medium, open conflict in South America is a very tiny one. The last war in brasilian borders happened more than 130 years ago!
IMO the hot issues are drug traffic and low scale guerrilla warfare.
Hello , wecome to our forun!!!! Well US is really boring when it comes to allowing high tech military stuff for LA but the F16 they offered us are BVR capable and they even offered us some AMRAAMS , something CHile didnt get till now despite buying F16s . Seems they know theyrent the favorite!!! 😀
