Only in the sense of electromagnetic interference testing and compatibility with other on board systems. From a performance perspective you don’t have any problems of hills or foliage, though the odd Island might be present.

Also considering that Indonesia had Tu-16s a purchase of Tu-22M3s by China or India or Indonesia is not that strange. The US doesn’t like the Russians helping the Iranians with their nuclear power plant either and apart from rhetoric nothing has stopped that.
A few Squadrons of Backfires would make sense for the Chinese if they are serious about Taiwan as a deterrent to US Naval forces.

The Chinese have apparantly copied the design of Tomahawks to create their own cruise missile… sounds to me like they are now thinking beyond regionally… longer range Strike aircraft would be consistent with such a change of roles. With inflight refueling… or even without the Tu-22M3 could be used as a stretegic bomber in the same sense as the B-29 was also one once, but its design was orignally just theatre land attack with a few used for naval strike. For China the priorities would be reversed with naval strike being the more important.

Welll wasnt the Russia’pressure wichi mae Iran to sign the non-nuclear weapons from UN ( or TNT if Im not wrong ) ?

Good pics . Far from my mind a desire to start a flame war but I wonder if Chile’s AWACS superior capatibilitie would ever be used by then. I mean when the israeli developed it was to be used in a theater with hunders of planes and ballistc missiles flying around .

Remember, the Cessnas were shot down over INTERNATIONAL waters..that doesn’t give the Cubans much a a legal leg to stand on…
And I don’t recall the Americans shooting down any unarmed LIGHT non-military planes..

Maybe only heavy one like that on 9/11… ๐Ÿ˜€

Sauron- All Flogger is suggesting is that Latin America has alot more to benefit by recieving technical assistance from countrys like Russia, Ukraine and China than it does from the US, and you go off about how he is suggesting that the US is suppressing economic development and other nonsense about nuclear proliferation. There is nothing wrong with Latin American countrys developing aerospace technology on their own. And the fact that youre freaking out about it DOES suggest some kind of paranoia you have about the idea of these countrys becoming self suficient and no longer dependent consumers of US technology.

Flogger- In the case of Mexico, lack of telecomunications development is certainly not for lack of Money. Unfortunately Telmex seems to have quite a monopoly on the telecomunications of Mexico. So despite the fact that Mexicans pay the same amount monthly for cellphones as in the US, they only recieve a small fraction of the talk time and lower quality. I think the Spanish company Telefonica has invested alot in Latin American telecomunications privatization, but has not greatly benefited local infrastucture.

Well In Argentine , its privatization of t telecomunications was made with the purpose of making money to the state ( ruled at that time by the populist Menen ) . The country was divided in 2 regions where one company controled alone each reagion . So it was a shift from state monopoly to a private one . The results were an improvement on argentines infraestructure ( since the state owned one was poor as they had no interest on increasing its costumer’s size ) . But that improvement came with huge increase in prices since it was a monopoly . AS far as I remember Telefรดnica controls the Benos Aires region .
At Brazil the privatisation was a success made by our former ( and one of my heroes ) president Fernando Henrique Cardoso . Our model put at that time 2 companys /area and the number is increasing until now . And there is a state agency called ANATEL here that is resposable for the rules in the sector ( this agency was weakened by our actula president Lula brought some uncertainty to the sector …:( ) . The results were a huge imporvement on the infrastructure along with low prices since competition here on this sector is huge . Nowadays we have a first world telecomunications . The mentat of it was the already dead Sergio Motta , our former telecomunicatiosn president . Telefonica here , if Im not wrong , owns the oneresposable for the state fo Sao Paulo ( the richest and most industrialized of Brazil ) as well as tbe mobile one here at Rio de Janeiro and the state of Espirito Santo . Well for other LA regions I dont know how it was .

.P.S: Well about this Flogger x Sauron debate Im in the middle . As Sauron said I think most of our problems came from us . But yes , Brail is seeking new allies as Russia and Ukraine on the spatial patial program since US dont want to help us

Hmm… I think chileneans are frequent participants of the red flag’s exercises . And every year France air Force trains with us here in Brazil along with another neighbours ( Cruzex ) as well as the US National Guard ( Tiger Operation ) . Thats all I remember for now .

we in peru shot a c-130 from the yanks doing crap ELINT without any permission and we are now the “bad guys

    Wow when was that? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

you have to understand my brother…that’s not the kinda’ stuff you’ll find at CNN, i just did a quick ressearch and posted the first result i’ve found, now, marxist leninist? who cares? there’s a blockade/embargo (or whatever name it has) and we all know about, lift that up and cuban economy will flourish the yanks will never allow for that to happen, that we all also know.

    HI Camaro, ๐Ÿ™‚
Sure , specially now we all see how biased has overcome american media with its view of Iraq war . CNN now is not that same one that was the unique ( along with a spanish report which Peter Arnet didnt gave room for him even to say hes’okay for his family… ) to do such a cover of a war . But really there are many other ways that are less influenciated by Bush’s administration of getting well informed such as : The Economist , Finantial Times , Le Mond ( yes I find it too leftist but at least they defend what they believe and its good to know that the other side thinks and many times as long as I know they dont manufacture facts like some commies or FOX news love to do ) , etc . And from what I see from these alternative sources ( at least if nothing goes unnoticed for me ) Cuba had until its regime got more radical alternatives from Europe for this embargo as Luis correctly pointed out .

ok luis, no cuban kills besides the bay of pigs?

    http://www.urrib2000.narod.ru/ArticPiercy2.html

read this, and if you “believe” its only lies, then… you just have made your choice, good for you
in my case i have made mine and i choose to believe this story, so to me there’s at least 1 cuban kill besides the bay of pigs, so i wont eat the crap that cuban pilots are cowards and shoot only “poor inocent children” flying cessnas as you want to make them look like.
as for freedom for your country, yes i wish that too, free from fidel but above all “free from the yanks”.
so your people can choose “whatever the hell they want” and not going from one oppresing SOB to the previous oppresing SOB. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    blockade? what blockade?
you sound like “supertramp” (crisis? what crisis?) ๐Ÿ˜€ just look at the cover.
have a look at that brother, then you’ll tell me if there’s a blockade or not
here in canada we have’ve heard many times menaces from the u/s, not to deal with cuba or american companies in canada will be moved out ๐Ÿ˜ก , our prime minister’s response was “canada is a free country and will deal with any country canada considers appropiate” ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜Ž
that was on the news and it made all canadians react at first, now we only laugh ๐Ÿ˜€ they’re still here…

now, enough for politics, lets go back to the only thing we all have in common, the thing that keeps us together…AVIATION.
    Camaro

OK , bro I agree at lest in aviation we would only fight to decide who is the sexiest lady ๐Ÿ™‚ but asI can resist to a last comment , ok you may be right about aa killing but comon dude a marxist leninist site?? I wont even loosing my time reading it I would rather prefer reading an economic newwspaper or a worldy credible known one , not because I dont respect other’s opinion but 90% of this red newspaper omits important questions ( no Imnot calling all commies as lyers but probably Ive known the wrong ones wholies as hells and intimates and pints with graffito the walls of the class of my previous university against the economic students …) as Ive stated before ( ok this one could be an exception but I dont have much spare time so I prefer spending it on known reliable ones ) .

Mirage 2000N shot down by SA-14 near the town of Pale in Bosnia during operation Deliberate Force (August / September 1995). The Mirage was hit after having launched 4 MK-82 on a serbian target.

Didnt the shot down wasnt recorded by the Mirage crew inside the cockpit at that time?

what blockade? last year dictator castro bought in the states millions of dollars in food….and he paid in cash….US $….All europe trades free with Cuba, but the delays in payment are…..incredible….some spanish companies are making business with the dictator (itยดs a shame, at least for decent people) paying salaries of abouth 600$ month…but the state owns 550$ of every worker…..hooooray, itยดs blockade fault….sure…

Italians, canadians, french, spaniards even argentineans are making business with dictator Castro (even some colombian “gentlemans”), whereยดs that blockade?

I dont want to star a flame war but I fully agree witg BME330 and Luis . Unfortunetly many brazilian communist lovers “forget” of those …. peculiarities spreading those wrong ideas to a miseducated miuninformed population . If Luis and BME were in a brazilian defense forun they would be surely be flamed all way long not to talk about menaces about your persons no matter if youre heavily informed about this or other ideas that hard leftist hate .since many of then love to go there ( but most are misnformed one and just follow the wolfs ) , I talk that as personal experience , thats why I wont never come back . Such minds washer brains deserve my deepest rejection
