Ok, so now they have the ability to track anything in their airspace, but they still rely on ancient SA-3’s and SA-6’s to shoot anything down, which as we saw in ’99 are almost useless against an airforce with modern jets applying modern sead techniques. They also got some more modern SA-13’s and SA-16’s and SA-18’s but these are useless against high flying jets.

What they need is a modern high altitutude sam system. This should be the first item on their To Get list. I read Russia has 8000 S-300’s, you’d think they could spare a dozen for a close ally.

Would anyone know if the Serbs have taken any steps to make it more difficult for any future attacker to knock out their radars as quickly as NATO did, or did they just rebuild them exactly the same as they were prior to the NATO attack?

Sorry Camaro I would like to believe that but when I was in Peru tourist guides allways bashed Chile when they could as well as some zombies enterprises like the civilian air company AeroContinente distributing those stupid papers claiming that a possible CHiles invasio is underway to justify constant delays on their flights 😡 But when I was in Chile , no one mentioned Peru . I have nothing agains both countrys but I get ****ed off when someon justifies its own problems poiting to thirds . Sorry for my bad english but Im in a hurry 🙂

Well yes the Mig 29 is much better than a NORMAL F5 but chilenean ( as the brazilian one ) are much capable comparable to the F16A ( not in turns but at radar EW, jammer , ergonomic MFDs , etc ) . SO I agree with Condor but I think chilena has few F5s than it shold be but when those F16 50+ arrives and if chileans really makes ons it thaty promissed israeli upgrade… Peruvians will have real reason to be scared with Chile .
