Did anyone ever see text in the opening post of this? Other forums I ‘ve been on have had weird posts where a bot has re-posted other posts without photos etc, and I’m wondering if this is something similar?

A monoplane Moth over Boundary Park, Didcot yesterday evening.

Ooooh, shiny aircraft are back! That looks very nice – I didn’t know any of the short-nose version even survived.

What a surprise, what should fly right over my house on Friday but the Flying Shed itself, the Skyvan.

Playing cricket at Bledlow Village yesterday, something with a piston radial engine flew over that I didn’t recognise – looked vaguely like a miniature Sea Fury, but with squarer wings (I was trying to concentrate on the game…) – any ideas?

As thorough as we have come to expect. It sound as though Mr B was unlucky enough to run into a big heap of imponderables, but had a guardian angel doing overtime, and is a very lucky chap to have got out of that in any shape even vaguely resembling OK (I have his seen his name linked to a project in Flypast, so I assume that he has now made a full recovery, I certainly hope so).

Thank God the crew are OK, but I fear the Sea Fury is rubber-ducked.

Given what happened to Invincible, and now this, Chris Gotshke’s (?spelling) gong for getting her onto the ground in one piece looks more and more deserved.

It won’t surprise you to hear what I saw last weekend…

I suspect I’ll see more when I spend more time on the allotment – deH owners often seem to pootle over Medley Manor (once home of Geoffrey deH’s grandfather, who loaned him the money that set the company up), and there’s a silver Harvard that seems to overfly St Edward’s School (alma mater of Douglas Bader & Adrian Warburton, amongst others), but the proximity of Weston on the Green means that what I see most is….
