I don’t think so as all that pasture would eventually turn into grassland and woodland full of wildlife.

Good one heslop. I’ve been vegetarian since I was 11 (19 years ago) and it hasn’t done me any harm.

It’s perfectly possible to have a balanced vegetarian or vegan diet. Enough good protein can be obtained from tofu, rice, beans, cereals…

Andrew,
How are you getting on with it – it must be almost a year since you acquired it! I had a look at its sister ship again the other day. Tempting…!
Bruce
Bruce,
It will be a year in January since i acquired my Vampire. Over the summer i’ve cleaned it up a bit and found some missing instruments. I am now waiting to hear back from Barry Parkhouse about bringing his crane back down to move it into postioin and put the wings back on.
Where is the other Vampire now?
Does anyone want to make my one fly? 🙂
An up-to-date aviation news and weather programm…
I’m afraid I can’t help. But if you end up with spare gaiters, please let me know as I am looking for two as well. I’m also looking for other parts. Please have a look at my website. http://www.vampirexh313.co.uk
B-25 NL9494Z
There should be a link appearing here soon to some pictures I took of the B25 in the yard. It was in sections amoungst lots of other bits of aircraft so was difficult to photograph.
Issue 18 of Warbirds Worldwide has an article about the five B25’s used in the film ‘Hanover Street’, this aircraft was one of them.
The article says ‘After a brief period of open storage at Blackbushe, it was flown to Coventry in September 1985, being retained by Jeff Hawke. It languished in a hanger there for two years, then went to auction in October 1987, but was withdrawn from sale, so remains at Coverntry.’ September 1991
I personally think any aircraft from WW2 is worth perserving.
Other Sandtoft Vampire.
Let me know what you need to know and i’ll help if I can.
I have bought one of the Vampires. I would be interested to know what happened to the other one. Most of the aircraft, including the B25 had been moved to a nearby yard.
