Brilliant. Lets hope XP693 is back where she belongs soon!

Will a Lightning ever grace UK skies again? I hope so. With the Vixen and hopefully soon the Vulcan, authorisation is being granted for increasingly more complex aircraft….

    My fingers are crossed:)

Urban myth. Flight simulator by MS in any form does not form the basis of an accurate simulation in any way and, in fact, the manual states that “this publication is not suitable for flight training purposes in any way”.

Lets hope that the other perpetrators of this affront to humanity are swiftly brought to justice. Please also, whatever God that you believe in, say a prayer tonight for the innocent people who’s live have been destroyed by this selfish, evil act.

LAST EDITED ON 07-09-01 AT 10:28 PM (GMT)[p]I find that very hard to believe. Almost every pilot aspires to fly Concorde. You’d have to beat me off with a shitty stick if I was suitably qualfied! 🙂

Jesus Christ. I know that I’m into aircraft, but twelve hours? The most that I’ve managed on top of that car park is about two!!! Good luck!

    RE: Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Well I think that it is a bit of a strange tribute to this great man, but a nice thought nevertheless. Think about CDG airport, Paris. This is an airport named after a man who bottled himself and fled to England during WWII, afterwards having condemned the British (who allowed him to set up parliament in the UK) This guy was also a racist. An unworthy dedication if ever I heard one. …….Yeah, John Lennon Airport is’nt so bad after all perhaps…….. I reckon John would have been proud…

    RE: Manchester Runway Two

LAST EDITED ON 12-07-01 AT 01:15 AM (GMT)[p]The airport pub is free, but you will find it very hard to park at most times. The beer and decor is awful too and the staff are really unfriendly. I used to go with my parents when I was a kid and it was great, but it has gone downhill now especially because the planes mainly take off from the new runway, although tonight they were’nt using the new one when I landed from CDG. It’s ok I suppose for a day out, but compared to what it used to be like in the 80’s, it is now very poor really as you don’t really get any exciting/loud aircraft anymore. You also get a lot off rough/odd people who seem to gravitate there these days who clutch radios and write down numbers yet seem to know nothing about aircraft. One guy once exclaimed to me that he saw a jumbo “climb vertically the other week”.

Amatures. They have probably never been on an aircraft.

    Paul.

Best place is follow the signs from the roundabout for T1/T3 and go behind the Romper pub to the new viewing area. It’s easy to get there.

    RE: CDG-What is it like?

Oh well, I’ve just come back from there today in fact! I found it to be very drab and without many shops decent bars (in T1 anyway, althougb I went to T2 a few years ago but that was just as bad). There was no air conditioning either. Very poor in my opinion, for such a usually forward thinking, stylish country……..

Well I did LHR-MAN once after doing MEL-SIN-LHR. The steward came to me at the back and threw at sandwich at me without even asking of I wanted it.

The sandwich was quite good though….
