Cheers. I’m looking forward to it! What entertainment do they have on board? Is it comparable to Singapore Airlines?

I saw two Gazelles on M6 too. XZ330 was one I believe.

According to the book ‘Something In The Air’ by Jenny Randles, the Trident in question involved in the Lisbon Incident was none other than ZULU KILO, currently at the AVP in Manchester!

    A320 Undercarriage….

Sorry if I have made a mistake, but I thought the a310/20 normally has a single bogie main undercarriage and not a double bogie?!

Is this so, or am I mistaken?

No it will. Firstly it’s a different Olympus in the Vulcan. The Olympus is still in fact supported by Rolls Royce as it is used in ships and power stations.

The Olympus 301’s used by XH558 are all zero timed and will simply have to be retired when out of hours as Rollys Royce do not have the means to overhaul the Olympus for airworthy specifications. So yes, it will fly again but with a finite life dictated by the amount of servicable engines available which don’t need overhauling by the manufacturer.

It might seem like a dfaft question and I’m sorry if it is, but why don’t they restore one to fly using merlins as per the early marks of Beaufighter?

    Tech Lightning…..

    Hi!

Re XR728, I was just curious as to what was up with her? I notice that she got shut down before the pairs run last time…. Is it the same problem?

I just got the impression that her engines were’nt run up to full power and even when they popped the brake chute, it did’nt even get to full size before being jettisoned.

Perhaps they were saving fuel for monday???

Worst thing is, I bigged it up to my cousin from Australia and I felt like a bit of a let down!!!!!!!!!!!!
