Hi Steve,
I guess it must be French produced. Have you checked the later parts for the footage with Stephen Grey and Ray and Mark Hanna?
With the new restored airframes that have emerged on the scene since this was made, it would be nice to do an updated UK produced version.
Mosquito Modelling
My late Father produced the pattern for the Airfix 1/24th Scale Mosquito, so this is close to my heart.
Looks like a very impressive piece of work.

The photos threw me at first, I have never seen a dragon with squared wing tips, those I have been in have had very pointy wing tips. Are square tips a common feature of dragons?
You are thinking of the de Havilland 89 Dragon Rapide!
Great to see Kermit at Old Warden yesterday.
Was really surprised at how little was mentioned of him by the commentator.
To me he is pretty much legendary in the world of historic aviation and will still be the one people are talking about in 100 years!
Incredible piece of film…I challenge you not to have a big smile on your face by the end!
Going to send more money to them now!
No Skyraiders this year ?
Can’t see mention of P-51Ds either, but sure there will be a few of those knocking around!:)
Can’t see it in the photo, but remember this as being dorsal fillet-less, version, which would make it a D5. Wrong Hamilton Standard blades too!
You’re right!
Been on for the last half hour and great shots of the B-29 arriving at Duxford,
as well as Jimmy Stewart visiting with many veterans in 1975, with a pass or two by Haydon Baillie in the Seafury WH589 – OHB.
Loads of very interesting historic footage.
Thanks for the heads up!
I’d be surprised if it was flying from Elstree down to Somerset on a regular basis, definitely based at Yeovilton, the pilot at the time would have lived just outside Ilminster which is near Merryfield
Ok, would have been TF956 out of Yeovilton then.
I’m a bit young to really remember anything clearly from the 70s’ (showing my youth now) and remember that the pilot lived just outside my home town so would regularly practice aerobatics. I wish I could accurately date it but can’t.
This would have been while in Spencer Flack’s ownership, flying from Elstree. Pretty sure he had it from 1978-1980. He then moved on to the single seater-G-FURY, Hunter G-HUNT and Spitfire XIV G-FIRE.
He regularly practised aeros over the now de-funked Radlett, mainly in the biplanes he owned. Stampes, Jungmeister, Jungmanns and Christen Eagle.
Great times!
The sun is never behind you at Duxford.
True I know, but from the tank bank, you stand more of a chance as you are looking down the field away from the sun, the backs of my legs and neck can testify to that from Legends!
Until recently I was using a 55-200mm with very satisfactory results.
I would say with a 300mm you will be fine.
Go to the right hand side of the airfield at the front of the Land Warfare hall and pitch a place on the ‘Tank Bank’, a raised area looking down the strip.
The sun will be reasonably behind you also.
Many aircraft pass very close by on routines, as due to the shape of the crowd line, you are quite far forward.
Nice video,
The lighting conditions got a little interesting for the Mustangs, just after this.
Thanks for posting!
