    Alan,

Did you have a contract with them at the time? These things
happen over time, after a while they “forget” who owns the
item. Happend over here many times.

One of my friends and his dad had a cockpit section at a museum. They left it ther for a few years. The old people at the museum moved on or died. So when they tried to get it back they had no luck, as there was no paper work. My friends father has since past on and his son gave up trying to get it back.

I have a piece of rudder fabric of an Avro 504 E3648. At some time this was cut of the aircraft and folded up and posted by a German. As on the back is a German fieldpost card stuck to it, with an address in Germany.

What we need is Hawker Harts with red haired aircrews. As in the 20’s and 30’s we lost a few aircrew in foreign parts. The captured red hair airmen where put into servicing there women! The others had their asset’s cut of. Hence the issue of goolie chits.

We bought a Slingsby T8 Tutor BGA833 from Ivor Stretch, that had been on display At the Motive Power museum at Lytham St Annes. We did a bit of work on it. Including getting a new wing for it.one of the old wings had been cut in half. Before we sold it, then got it back. It did fly again. There was also a Grunau Baby in the museum at some time, i believe this fell apart.

I know Shuttleworth consulted Hunting aviation before selling the Gull. I think it was all down the finance.

The Luton museum hold’s a few photo’s of Percival aircraft. The only problem was, I was difficult to get copies when i wanted some about five years ago.

Yugolslavia, Sostoric gllider. The only glider i can find was designed by Ivo Sostoric. Capable of carrying 12 troops, a jeep or a payload of 2800lbs loaded through a rear door. Only one prototype built. I cant find details or or a name/ Type.
