Why is it that Hanger 11 hardly seem to come to DX? You’d think the chance to see 3 p 40s and 6 hurricanes airworthy would be enough to tempt ’em:p
I’ve not posted on this forum in very long time, but that article is absolutely priceless!
Is that a Hunter I see lurking in the Hangar in the 5th Venom pic?
I too am greatly in favour of this thread. Great idea! Perhaps this would be a nice oppourtunity for people to upload pictures from Fighter Meets throughout the years too? I know they have been covered in other corners of the internet but it would be nice to have one solid thread to archive them all.
Looking forward to seeing this progress.
Wow. This is highly exciting!
Not a problem my man. Easy mistake to make seeing as how Speilberg’s series has the same working title. He’s done his best to confuse nearly all of the internet 😉
Just to clarify, this doesn’t have anything to do with Speilberg/Tom Hanks project about the 8th Airforce. This is actually a teaser trailer for a movie that is currently being shopped around to see if anyone will pick it up.

Forgive me is this has been mentioned previously, but what’s the story with the Hellcat nose? Is it for the AAM? Can we be expecting the rest of it to turn up at some point?
The WW1 display and the JU-52 with the yellow cowlings are my earliest memories of Duxford. Must have been about 5 years old. Great to be reminded of those times. Thanks all 🙂
Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations all round
Hahahaha this guy….
Forgive me, but with G-ROBT, G-HITT and G-CBOE (still not sold I presume?) all relatively close, would that make 10 airworthy Hurricanes in the UK?
If so, may I say, wow!
This looks like an absolutely stunning event! I bet those 5 Ju52’s made one hell of a racket! 🙂
If it’s any help, I was on Oxford Street at about 4:45pm and looked up to see what looked like the Lufthansa JU-52 flying over head. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. May it have been up and about that early as well?
TE311 looks stunning!! Wonderful contrast in colours. Very beautiful aircraft.
