    Hi,
Isnt there something about the Prairie Masker system, that makes it vulnerable to wake homers? Cant seem to remember exactly.

Well, you could rig the MiG 21 for refuelling from buddy pods/ C130s and buy a few 100s!
Also, around 50 or so Mi 17 IVs for anti-tank/ transport.
An Airbus A380 for the dictator(moi :p ) fitted with the latest anti missile gizmos to thwart any attempt on me.
    10 E 2 Hwkeyes and 5 J-STARS type Gulfstreams
    10-20 C 130 Js for transport
    20 Prop trainers
30 Fast jet trainers; Hawk variants will do just fine
A few batteries of the Tor M1 and the Jindalee OTH setup
Fixed gun/missile defense sites with the RBS 70 and the Oerlikon guns or even the Kashtans mounted on a tracked platform
The Patriot series for the long range work

If some money remains, a few U 214s for the squids and Veer class corvettes with the 16 SS-N-25.

    Hi Ink,
I read a report on the net that definately said, Moskvas, and lemme check and tell you.

    Heres the quote
    From the http://www.rediff.com archives
    >>The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, missile cruiser Moskva, two destroyers from Russia’s Pacific Fleet and a nuclear submarine from the North Sea Fleet will leave for a six month trip to the Indian Ocean next month, says Russia’s Kommersant daily. They will be accompanied by landing crafts and support ships. <<

This is circa Jan 30 2003.

    This is recent..

    >>>>>>Russian, Indian Navies to Conduct Joint Exercise
The Russian and Indian Navy will begin two-and-a-half-week joint exercises in mid-May, Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Adm. Vladimir Kuroyedov said on Thursday.

The Russian and Indian Navy will begin two-and-a-half-week joint exercises in mid-May, Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Adm. Vladimir Kuroyedov said on Thursday.

“The joint exercises will take place in the Indian Ocean, in the eastern part of the Arabian Sea,” Kuroyedov said.

Two warship units from the Black Sea and Pacific Fleets and Indian naval flotilla “will carry out joint missile and artillery fire drill” and “will train rescue operations in the sea and anti-submarine operations,” he said.

“The Russian-Indian naval exercises will become the first step towards restoring Russia’s permanent naval presence in the World Ocean,” he said.

Nine ships from Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, including the missilecruiser Moskva and large anti-submarine vessels Marshal Shaposhnikov and Admiral Penteleyev from the Pacific Fleet, will take part in the exercises.

India will maneuver surface vessels and submarines from the Indian Navy’s Western and Eastern Fleets, including the Vikrant aircraft carrier.

    Hi,

    Good topic!

My favourit vid would have to be ‘Akash Yoddha’ , a one hour film on the IAF . For a starved IAF nut like me, this CD was/is a great piece of work with superb photography and great shots of the MiG 21 Bison, Su 30 MKI and virtually all the aircraft in the IAFs inventory.

Hopefully they havent run out of copies!
