They are both valuable tools IMO
There also needs to be more transparency about where the money is really being spent in general!
As for the cuts, it seems to me as if we allow the bureaucrats to decide what to cut, and they choose to cut frontline services instead of their own useless selves. It’s almost as if the bureaurats are trying to get their own back.
The aid to India issue is what happens when you let a government spend money in a way that makes them look good, rather than how the public at large want it spent.
@Creaking Door
Cutting the military isn’t going to make any difference to the budget problems! Foreign aid is an easy cut to make, but not one that is going to balance the books. To balance the budget we need to look at welfare spending inc pensions and benefits, unproductive bureaucrats in the welfare/education/nhs departments!

If you want exports then you’ll have to have good quality products from a well trained workfore, with access to funding for R&D and production, and a reduction as far as possible in the level of taxation and regulation on business.

How does one compete in photography? Surely judging just becomes a matter of taste (snobbery)?

A new tool in the war against step ladders…

and a new tool in the war against windbreak fortresses…

But, according to you, it’s all sub-standard.
The copper is fine, the circuit layout could do with being redesigned though 😎

Take the lead off, first, and they’ll leave it alone.
Plenty of copper to steal inside a police station

Could be anything really. Perhaps she fainted for some reason… I don’t suppose this is the sort of situation she expected she would get such serious injuries though! Hopefully she makes a full recovery.
@J Boyle
From the BBC pictures it looked like the truck was sufficiently out of the way. It’s quite an unlikely thing to happen so the positioning of the truck probably isn’t much to fault. The irony is the lift on the truck was probably at her head height in the car for health and safety reasons, since if it was low or flat they might claim it to be a trip hazard to pedestrians!

Maybe not current, but gives a reasonable idea of where the money comes from and where it goes…

According to some estimates, the olympics will benefit the economy to the tune of £16.5 billion, so we may be in net profit?
