I don’t own a bar.
Soldiers being refused entry to bars is very common. They can’t cause trouble and then complain when they aren’t welcome there anymore.
Squaddies are responsible for a LOT of fights in towns, so I can’t really blame them.
It’s similar to banning straight guys in groups from gay bars, they simply cause too much trouble.

It’s not a u-turn, they are just saying it is. That doesn’t make it the case.
The Labour party is a bit of a joke as it stands, they’re good at complaining, but they caused most of the problems, and they never propose any credible solutions.

These tourist jobs and service based economy are also present Spain/Greece but what makes Turkey different with 10% current deficit to GDP. the word expecations has some meaning.

Why is Turkey afraid to intervene in Syria?
He is a lover of peace in comparison to the mass mudering duo of Gordon Brown and Tony Blair 😎
I don’t see anything much happening beyond some angry statements 🙂
They shot down an F4 an antiquated plane. If the west gets involved they will destroy Syrian air defenses using Tomahawks first then the Rafale/Stike Eagles will do the rest. I give max two weeks before Syrian defenses are wiped out. Then its Libya all over again.
Not much point sending in the Rafale. Strike Eagle would be a better choice without Rafale 🙂
Indeed the guy deserves great credit for what he has done, though the governments still refuse to give him an official pardon it seems. While he was properly convicted of a crime, what he did shouldn’t have been a crime. Scotland and Northern Ireland are the worst it seems, their cops arresting people for being gay up until 1980 and 1982 respectively. They do deserve some credit for managing to tell the gay and straight people apart in the 80s, or even for telling the men and women apart 😎
The government has rejected calls for computer pioneer Alan Turing to be granted an official pardon for convictions for homosexuality dating back to the 1950s.
An online petition of over 23,000 signatures had requested the pardon.
Justice Minister Lord McNally dismissed the motion in the House of Lords.
“A posthumous pardon was not considered appropriate as Alan Turing was properly convicted of what at the time was a criminal offence,” he said.

Oh and there is a solution for the self service checkouts and kids in supermarkets also… double ear protection! First get some in ear protectors, then some large whole ear covering ones, and wear both. Nothing shall disturb your peace!
Also, ear protection highly recommended for motorcyclists, the wind noise does an incredible amount of damage 😎

I dislike HR and other non-productive jobs!
@Jetflap
This is why speed cameras are actually a safety hazard, and should in most cases be axed, especially the mobile ones. People slamming on the anchors on a straight road is a recipe for disaster.
@Andy in Beds
I can’t see police bureaucrats getting any sympathy from the public. I don’t have any real issue with cutting the police bureaucrats either, I’d happily cut the number in half, especially if it is well directed. The problem I see is that those people who should be cut often seem not to. Very senior police officers should have massive salary cut. We could also cut those people involved with speed cameras.
Just a few roles we could make some huge cuts in… 😀
