Makes a change from torquing about Usain Bolt
There’s worse things so spend the money on. It’d only end up going to happiness surveys or leftist/liberal “art” instead.

But there are many examples of selective coverage. I noticed the 10km runner from Britain, who just happened to be black, got a way bigger slice of the coverage from the BBC than the other gold medal winners. Resulting outrage? None, they thought it was something to be proud of!
@Moggy C
Whats Manchester United without it’s fans?

There won’t be saturation as things break and need replacing. Technology advances, things improve, you’d like the one with new features because it does the job better/faster/cheaper etc. The government and industry should try to advance technology as much as possible, as fast as possible, opening up new areas for business and giving ever greater benefits to society.

Given a choice a manager would rather fire a nurse than fire themselves. I can’t see the Unions being willing to help kick out all the managers either!

Still looks like they could move forward a bit technologically, it seems they’re still somewhere between caveman and victorian…

It creates a conflict of interest. If they want to do extra work, they can do it for the NHS. This is most in keeping with the general principle of having a nationalise health service over a private health service.
