The thread? No, unfortunately it’s not a joke. I don’t think it’s a big ask that the kit reflect the majority of the country, and it’s not that difficult to do 🙂

@ppp Far from getting all high and mighty, as you put it, I don’t oft agree with Arthur Pewtey, but as he stated “It”, ie you,are getting rather silly.Also what Spitfireman, and a lot of others have stated re your “Flag”

And I stand by what I stated, and I would bet there are a lot more members who would agree, it IS an insult to all the soldiers who died in WW1 and WWII.
I suggest you think twice prior to posting such an item as you did, you certainly didn’t do youself a lot of good.
But thats just my opinion.

I’m glad you agree manipulating the flag is unacceptable, which is why I’m sure you’ll agree removing almost all of the red from the flag is also unacceptable. Doing so, using your World War Two example, implies that most of the effort was made by the Scots, and that the English and Northern Irish contribution was insignficant. Oh and lets keep in mind that the Swastika Union Jack is not my flag, as has been implied above, nor is the new UK “Olympic” flag which I also posted, yet some people are quite selective in which they attribute to me 😉

MODS. I think thread 16 is an absolute disgrace on this forum, I have just read it, and would like to register it as an insult to all the lads and lassies who gave their lives, perchance so our flag would not be a Swastica, after WW11.

I like a laugh and a joke as much as anyone, but that is just a “Bridge too far” in my book.

If you are going to get all high and mighty, and worse still use the deaths of our soldiers as a weapon with which to attack other posters, you could at least get the name of the damn war right, WWII not WW11…

I do look forward to seeing the Scottish team in 2016 though 😉
