    All this talk of windbreaks and ladders reminds me why I stopped going to Fighter Meet in the late 80’s.

    I think someone has already mentioned that there are asignificant dvantages to the access to the Friends of the Fighter Collection, including the shade of their marquee!

    Absolutely right Snapper (S1a take note)

    Shame the BBC doesn’t realise that wall to wall news of these events is playing into the hands of the terrorists. Amazingly they suspended pointless speculative programming to show “enders”, presumably to show the true grit of london(?). Back with more pointless publicity for them now back on air…..

    Yes but it isn’t powered by merlin/griffon, carry 8 browning 303 or those cannon thingies, painted in dk earth/olive, single seater or based at Duxford…….

    Actually curious as to where the words Old Warden appeared in the original question.

    Both are great events/nostalgia hits. If (f)grand parents have recent memories Legends may be more relevant and visually and aurally stunning.

    If Mrs grand parent doesn’t like a/c then Old|Warden has other options.
