If you are using photoshop why not use “actions” so it is automated.
Mind you I am not sure what you will achieve. Most view anything on the net as fair game…………….
A finishing touch would be the fabric cover over the plexiglass dome to prevent flies sticking prior to filming.
Also I remember the green and orange more vivid than the washed out tones in most piccies.
Also as I remember it was a very noisy b25, you need to add that to your model!!
No F-16 at Gransden then?
“Aeroplane have also put something else on their website which wont go down to well like the p-38 but a Lanc any guesses?”
care to clarify this one?
Just to add that if you had been at the TFC open evening on Sunday, not only would you have heard Mr Henshaws recollections of his time at C/B but his references to the urban grime ethat polluted the clouds above the “black country” and the steam from the power station that guided him home. Truly amazing recollections……….

You are very correct in your analysis, as has also been posted about the instant nature of the internet, and I guess the news page of Flypast is still comimg to terms with that.
However, we can now post before thinking, I’ve done it , we have all done it.
Some times it doesn’t matter, sometimes it does. Sometimes it takes another point of view to make you adjust an original idea or post, not censorship, but judgement.
I’m back to the General discussion forum and the thread on what song you listened to last, tell you what though I won’t be posting!!
Man on the Fence, looks like you hopped off the Fence for a while (tempting to say you hedged a bit but I won’t open that gate)
Anyway – Very sensibly put point, the news was there, served its purpose and then we move on. Good call.
May I also commend all who read this thread to re-read Robbos post a bit further back.
Me I am back to drool over Mark 12s piccies of Mossies and then todays wonders in MofTF generous picture posting (and Damiens and everyone elses), thanks all for some really useful and generous sharing of your pics, oh and the Corsair from B25 pic from across the pond, what the internet is really about innit!
Dave
if you dou watch video cameramen that is their standard technique, and if you are following moving objects there is not a lot of difference.
Legends eh? Thats what its all about.
Had to change the backdrop on me pc for about the 10th time today
Well done Mark
cheers
Chris
no need for apologies, worth the wait!
Excellent, what you have captured is atmosphere, and memories, they are what make displays important (along with the weather of coursde.
cheers
Quote from Mr Ross
“Dear Dear Digby, you have obviously not watched pilots and engineers AFTER they have finished either! “
That would be the engineers who started at 06:30 on Saturday and were still working on the likes of the connie 20:30 then would it, not to mention the pre-display week? Think that was not a well thought out comment.
Ironicly picture of people maintaing aircraft in 2004 will become historic items, a bit like the picture of the guy driving the blue van……..
uote from Digby “Stop moaning and give the guys a chance I for one believe we are lucky to have what we have allthough I thought the bloke in that blue van looked very dodgy not sure what he was supposed to be doing “
I believe I have a picture of the driver of that van, was he delivering bacon rolls?
“Don’t need to answer the question,it answers itself every july, fact is that the proceeds generate more than enough to pay the bills.I don’t blame them for not wanting to pay ever increasing premiums for this that and everything else,we are all in that boat, but like i said before they simply wouldn’t bother otherwise, this is big business and the organisers are not doing it for you ,me or anyone else that likes to stand in the crowd or write to forums, they are making serious profits which i don’t begrudge them,i just feel that they are starting to take the mickey a bit,or have i been going there too long ?”
Theer is enough hot air in the above statement to float the whole fleet of Legends a/c
Theere is also not a single quantified fact in the above statement.
This years Legends was genuinely innovative. Rapides, Polikarpov, which hasn’t really been discussed but looks fascinating close up, Constellation, if you were lucky enough to be near it when it started up, flightline walk where you saw old men crying (not at the price, which none of them begrudged, they understand, but at memories), atmosphere and if you think about it every minute of the display an aircraft flying, taking off, landing, it doesn’t happen by accident and the planners and thinkers need a pat on the back along with the engineers and pilots and so on who make it happen. Did you see the display Twilight Tear gave? Actually all this is unfair because it means I am not giving praise to other aspects of the weekend but I felt rekindled this year which has to be a good thing for me any way.
Final point, my friends teenage kids blow more than the admission cost plus programme plus flight line walk on a saturday night. They probably can’t remember the events of that night, I can and hope I will continue to rember the week end for a long time to come. (The final point is helped by thet generousity of those who share their pictures here).
cheers all, off to dream.
So that would make Digby right then??
