…and you can see more of Rob and the Nieuport in the air in this video just click HERE:
TFC had G-KYAK as an airworthy Yak 11 in the mid 90’s
There is video of this displaying, with Paul Bonhomme as pilot, in the current video archive section of FofTFC site, mainly flying inverted from memory.
You might find the list of Spitfires is a little longer, Fighter Log ran an article on all the Spitfires a couple of years ago.
The old FofTFC blog which is still online includes a number of photos from the aircraft in the 90’s. You’ll have to go back a few pages though.
FofTFC are in the process of setting up an archive of old video and photos. So that would be another benefit of joining then: 😉
Indeed, many apologies for being late to the table, I had a day off! You can view the unique TFC diary take on all this here – http://fighter-collection.com/diary.php where we will endeavour to bring you the latest news as it happens.
Massey Ferguson 575 with the rear post hinged cab door, lovely!
Note local mod – removal of lower links and puh. Quite a rare variant.
I believe this one was the result of a ground up restoration around 1999?
The red is actually not authentic MF Red but matched using photographs of the time and video from Countryfile predecessor Farming Diary?
I have some pictures of the machine prior to restoration if anyone is interested?
Just to cut out the middleman(6734planes) Fragile has landed and Sea Fury is running up. We’ll try and do a review on the blog, to be read on the blog later.
Panic not the original (while ASB sort out their streaming issue) is available on the ever so reliable TFC blog -[I am going to regret that last comment aren’t I ? 😉 ]

Are you seriously suggesting that management of a single-aircraft restoration project and a fund-raising programme is so astonishingly complicated and time-consuming that it requires a 60k salary?
Yes, obviously.

So which of you guys is qualified in accountancy or Aero engineering or commercial sponsorship then?
Normally I wouldn’t comment on an ill informed thread like this but the damage you and others do to the creditability of aircraft restoration is mind boggling.
A salary of £100k buys you a mediocre fund raiser/project manager (so £60k is cheep!) – if you don’t know that basic fact don’t even comment on this project. If you don’t appreciate the real world cost or have an understanding of the figures in an accounts return forget it because the real world players realise how silly you look.
Bruce has tactfully pointed you in to thinking about these issues, you haven’t picked up the nuances so I have now spelt it out.
Merry Christmas
They did a lot of “Bodging” in the RAF leading up to Falklands, paticuarly with the the Black Buck operation’s. Let’s just say they used a lot of araldite on the victors. They were short of time, they were working non stop at Waddington and Marham. They had to try and bodge getting the VC10’s inertial guidance system on two Vulcan’s ,also try to get Dash 10 pod’s from Buccaneer’s under the vulcan’s wing’s by making pylons for it, the list goes on and on. They had to take the risk.

Try Ingenuity instead of Bodging, your source apart from Vulcan 607 is? There are those here who were involved in the conflict – what were you doing at the time of the Falklands?
Quite right Pete, thanks for the correction, I must learn to check the facts and not rely on memories from 40 years ago
Released 1975 so only 33 years, it starts to get important at my age!!
Can someone tell the BBC cameramento set their “shutter speed” when filming propellors to 1/50………………
£120k for a vounteer effort frontman is pretty cheep, welcome to the real world of charidees 🙂
(sp intentional 🙂 again)
