Not looking good for Russia with no future fighter to export. Not everybody can buy PAK FA. Maybe they plan to sell only Yak130. The world is left with only stealthified shornets
What ever you are smoking… i want some.
What will replace the MiG 29/35 ? LMFS? Or Optionally manned crafts?
Actually MMICs are pretty crude compared to other Integrated circuit types. Baseband processors are way more complicated than radar MMICs. What makes Military AESA MMIC different is the material used. Much of consumer/commercial Mixed signal Baseband SoCs are designed for low power and reuse of Bandwidth. If there is a market for 100 million High power MMICs I am sure the consumer electronics industry can do miracles every few months.
I don’t think a replacement of the AESA TR Element would involve rework of the backend if at all. Looks like a sound plan has been put in place.
Weapons release at Mach 6 would be – interesting. Doubt such a thing would use kinetic effectors.
About the config: At Mach 6 no wings of any size are required. The thing here has wings. So I guess M6 is a dash capability? With a quite lower cruise. The kink in the wing, paired with only one vertical fin to avoid nasty vibration problems. The engine pods seem huge, maybe variable cycle? Twin-engined config is interesting, taking into account potential asymetric thrust issues at high speed. Could the idea be a scramjet between them for dash capability?
I think the original article by Sweetman mentioned of a technology for integrating Turbofan+Scramjet in the same engine.
Mach 6 Platform + Mach 3 Missile (if missile is current Gen) … That is a lot of kinematic performance.
This thread should be decoupled from the F35 and the Indians. There is already an Indian AF thread. Its full of crap the last few pages.
Your picture is 051. But I also saw in other 50-5 pics that it is a dummy.
flateric does not post here anymore?
It’s a war. Period.
Grainy distant pic of apparently T-50-5 together with Su-30MK 504 chase plane! (from paralay.com)

Good enough for making some RCS calculations 😀 … J/K
how do you know it looks like a placeholder? Are there any pics around?
There were pictures of the 055 around with Medvedev in the foreground, lying in a hangar and it could be seen that the nose aperture is not fitted.
Pics please anybody… :applause:
hmm .. they wrote this particular machine will be releasing weapons … should be interesting then. But the OLS seems like a placeholder.
+1 to the keypub Triumvirate, JSR Palembang and the new guy.
oops I forgot goldust
I also read somewhere that Raytheon is in the process of supplying ISTAR assests to IAF as well.
Thanks a lot
