HOWEVER IT IS A FACT THAT Rafale is not cleared to release any A2G munition that requires targeting such as LGBs.

WRONG, it is cleared for LGBs since 2002.

But still no proof for the 100* claim? Apart from someone on the payrole of the French

Do i look like your nanny to you boy?

I posted and article which many of US actualy read online before it vanished from the internet (as many other did BTW), end of story.

so we can take it with a massive pinch of salt as they are the ones trying to sell the aircraft.

WHO is WE? You and Smith&Wesson?

    Barry Scott

The likes of Storm shadow and other standoff munitions are all well and good for fixed targets,

    šŸ˜€

for a tank battalion, less good to useless.

    :D:D

No good relying on stand off systems if you have to gain air superiority over hostile airspace to protect your own ground forces either.

    :D:D:D
I hope you dont try to imply everyone here is at your level are you?

Since you can’t argue as to WHY this isn’t technicaly possible how about you give it a rest he?

Its perfectly possible that the image in question is a photoshop, besides is does not proof 100 AOA as he said it could do.
    Try again kid.

Yes it was photoshoped because i screenedshoted it myself but it was not RETOUCHED, as for you dude, what is perfectly possible is that you’re going to be very popular with the Legoland forumers.:D

Or perhaps the capabilities weren’t hyped so as to not take away funds from the even more expensive F-22. Hmmmm.

Considering their reespective requierements i think not.

    They needed this strike aircraft…

Wow, the French can alter the gravitational constant = G.
For physics losers, the standard gravity is g. šŸ˜‰

    Yeah, thanks for the lecture.

How many Rafales or Saab Gripen?

How many countries are involved in the Typhoon programme?

So it’s your belief that one of the REQUIREMENTS isn’t to improve upon the aircraft currently fulfilling the ROLE that the new aircraft will be fulfilling?

Requierements for JSF are those designed around the Harrier II+ Role and even its Operational ceilling; PLUS (USAF) Internal weapon bay and Supersonic DASH (To improve on Harrier’s Dash and L.O signature).

F-16 requierements were for a LWF or to put it bluntly, PURE Air Superiority.

If requierements weren’t leading to different designs and performances then a B1 sould be doing Air Supremacy.

The F-22 is as expensive as the JSF will be cheap, and the USAF sees no obligation to take one without the other. In fact, it sees no way to have the JSF without the F-22. At $30 million a copy, the JSF will be an affordable attack aircraft because it does not have to perform the F-22’s stealthy air-superiority mission, the service argues.

OBVIOUSLY even the USAF didn’t envisage Air superiority as a role when it comes to that, it only became so when it was time to a) justify the cost b) persuade customers it was worth the expense, expecialy those who aren’t going to use Typhoon in the Air superiority role.

You do understand that requirements can change, right?

The A-7 was replaced by the F-18 in the USN, and the F-18 is being replaced by the F-35C(the high/low mix is F-35C/F-18E/F). The USMC needs a replacement for their F-18C/Ds as well as their AV-8Bs. The USAF is replacing F-16s. Each of the services had requirements based upon these things. Do you honestly believe that they want to spend a lot of money on a platform that is inferior at the missions to be performed than one that’s currently flying?

You are simply mystaking requierements for ROLES.

Personally I don’t know why they didn’t go with the Convair 200. The lift jets had already been built and run. Seems to me it would have been the less risky of the two. One of my favorite might-have-beens.

This is looking like a good design but as i mentioned previously too adventurous (Delta-Canard) for US standards…

Thanks for posting it BTW it’s ALWAYS interesting to have archives of this quality.

Sens;1351117]Two basics are still to learn.

    I’ ready and willing!:diablo:

First the source of your material.

Totaly unreliable French Weapon Procurement Agency website. AdA pages:D

Second where is the sky in your HUD?

    You’re looking STRAIGHT through it.

In the meanwhile I am sure about your reason not to answer simple question and going personal or to distract from that.

LOL! You’re mystaking ME for the image in the mirror dude!

Barry Scott;1351087]Ok I will break it down for you to understand in a nice easy and basic manner.

Let’s SEE iof YOU got what it takes…

The quotes you put up about the rafale that come from a Dassault flight-test pilot are quite potentially fiction because by your very own reasoning (and many others) he is employed by the company who builds and sells the jet hence he has to offer up such promising statements or face being shown the door.

    šŸ˜€

Remember this is what you and others said about Mr Beesleys quotes so it applies equally here as well. The fact he added in some figures do not change anything at all, you could even say he’s throwing up more BS then Mr Beesley did by adding in such unbelieveable figures whilst offering no proof at all.
I do hope you have finally grasped the issue.

BOY: He doesn’t have to talk MANURE to flater the aircraft.

NOT working for Dassault; if there IS a company that’s sandbaging it is them we only learnt about Rafale supercruising from a SNECMA article on M 88 first and then by one of us literaly grilling their representative at the Paris Airshow.

As for your argument, you’re breaking down into pieces, you got NO technical argument to oppose to his, then let us know WHY they bothered with ONERA validating these maneuvres before atempting to do them.:D

Alternatively to you informing yourself to this point i CAN tell YOU why it is perfectly possible with DUE demonstration on the aircraft aerodynamics. Sawy?

NO: MORE controversy in the pipeline… (And potential very public shame for myself, but i feel adventurous so let’s try).

    Rafale Bs at Red Flag.

I was interested by what the HUD was saying.

    READ: 207 kt, Alpha = 77* AoA. (And a D.E.A.D F-16).

    Woooosh
That was the sound of the point flying right past you and you don’t even realise. Pretty funny.

Unless you actualy flew it and were there when they tried with this guy i don’t see what’s so funny about it.:diablo:

    Hmm.
So pressure rises in the reheat pipe? or does it drop? I can’t really see what you are trying to say.

Without reheat it drops as airflow expends etc…
